This study deals with the design and implementation of a research on the concepts of «amount of substance» and «mol». This work is grounded on a constructivistic conception of the learning of Sciences, more particularly on the model known as teaching-learning as oriented research. In accordance with this theoretical basis we have developed an empirical research framed within the teaching of Chemistry in High School. The reactivity of neonatal rabbits to the mammary pheromone as a probe for viability

International audience; Newborn rabbits depend on a daily nursing interaction with the mother to gain milk and to survive. During this interaction, they localise and seize the nipples displaying a typical behaviour triggered by maternal odour cues. The mammary pheromone constitutes such a signal in domestic rabbits: it elicits sucking-related movements in more than 90% of the pups. However, some newborns remain unresponsive to the presentation of the pheromone, even pups apparently healthy and highly motivated to suck. Identification of the Jπ = 1− state in 218Ra populated via α decay of 222Th

The α decay of 222Th populating the low-lying J π = 3− state, and also a proposed 1− state, in 218Ra has been observed. The observations suggest an excitation energy of 853 keV for the 1− state, which is 60 keV above the 3− state. The hindrance factors of these α decays give a possible boundary to the region of ground-state octupole deformation in the light-actinide nuclei. The relative positions of the J π = 1− and 3− states suggest they are produced by an octupole-vibrational mechanism, as opposed to α clustering or rotations of a reflection-asymmetric octupole-deformed shape. peerReviewed

Celem artykułu jest ocena wdrożenia koncepcji społecznej odpowiedzialności biznesu w strategii w wybranych przedsiębiorstwach sektora TSL oraz wskazanie na jedno z kluczowych wyzwań, jakim jest efektywna prezentacja polityki CSR. Badaniem objęto 7 spółek notowanych na FWB oraz 5 spółek notowanych na GPW. W badaniu zastosowano metodę dedukcyjną, wspomaganą studiami literatury, oraz metodę porównawczą. Przedstawiono obszary działań społecznie odpowiedzialnych podejmowanych przez wybrane spółki oraz oceniono zasięg ich komunikowania. Biopolymer processing and handling is greatly facilitated by the use of ionic liquids, given the increased solubility, and in some cases, structural stability imparted to these molecules. Focussing on proteins, we highlight here not just the key drivers behind protein-ionic liquid interactions that facilitate these functionalities, but address relevant current and potential applications of protein-ionic liquid interactions, including areas of future interest.
The impact of real relationship and working alliance on therapy outcome: a study with an Italian sample

According to Greenson (1965), Gelso & Hayes (1998) developed a tripartite model of the therapeutic relationship, including a working alliance (WA), a transference-countertransference configuration, and a real relationship (RR). Up to date, only two studies (conducted in the US) investigated the associations between the real relationship and the working alliance in psychotherapy. The argument purported here is that even though the idea of international anarchy is often seen as very central for the academic discipline of international relations, the concept is in fact not found from the forerunners or classics of the discipline. The assumption of international anarchy is commonly seen as a defining feature of a Realist school of international relations. The role, the goal and the soul of professional public relations : developing a holistic model of PR professionalism

This doctoral dissertation investigates PR professionalism and PR as a strategic expert function. The approach is phenomenographic and the research progresses through four phases: (1) building a conceptual framework, (2) conducting an interpretative study of concepts, (3) conducting semi-structured in-depth interviews among 37 Finnish PR experts, and (4) constructing a holistic model of PR professionalism. The interpretative study of concepts concludes that PR professionalism consists of expertise in management of identity, management of public sphere, and management of relationships, and its core values are respect, responsibility and reflexivity.
