In the Swedish/Finnish/British/Norwegian television series Jordskott (2015–17) child victims’ mysterious disappearances signal that ‘something’s not right’ in Silverhöjd, a Swedish town. Three detectives uncover a conflict between the locals who depend on a local industry and preternatural human-like but non-human forest creatures familiar from Nordic tradition and fairylore. Guaranteed Error Bounds for Conforming Approximations of a Maxwell Type Problem

This paper is concerned with computable error estimates for approximations to a boundary-value problem $$\mathrm{curl}\ {\mu }^{-1}\mathrm{curl}\ u + {\kappa }^{2}u = j\quad \textrm{ in }\Omega ,$$ where μ > 0 and κ are bounded functions. We derive a posteriori error estimates valid for any conforming approximations of the considered problems. For this purpose, we apply a new approach that is based on certain transformations of the basic integral identity. The consistency of the derived a posteriori error estimates is proved and the corresponding computational strategies are discussed.

Incrementally launching technique is today very competitive for the construction of continuous concrete bridges. During construction the static scheme of these bridges varies continuously, with the advance of the deck above piers, producing temporary stresses rather different from those occurring in service. An approach to analyse construction phases of curved incrementally launched bridges is presented for concrete single box girder, using the Transfer Matrix Method. Customer perceived value has a subjective nature, since it means an evaluative judgment. In the literature, it has been noted that the value received by the consumer has a number of components that together determine its significance. The literature has also highlighted the existence of a relationship between perceived value and customer attitude, considering this variable an important determinant of customer loyalty. This paper tries to analyse the influence of the major components of perceived value on customer attitude and loyalty in several retail activities.
