Vissuti di insegnanti e genitori al tempo della pandemia: note sulla corresponsabilità educativa scuola e famiglia
2022
In line with the very latest national and international literature on the effects of the pandemic in educational contexts, the paper presents a research into the lived experiences and points of view of some Sicilian parents and teachers. Adopting a phenomenological-hermeneutic methodology, the narrations of the participants were collected and then analysed by focusing on the mutual representations, meanings of co-responsibility and and co-constructed learning during the pandemic. Indeed, we will try to highlight how, from the voices of schools and families that have been forced to collaborate within the virtual space and the contracted pandemic time, new possible perspectives of meaning and…

A multinational study exploring adolescent perception of school climate and mental health.
2021
School climate is a topic of increasing importance internationally. The current study investigated the established measurement invariance of an eight-factor school climate scale using a multinational sample of secondary students. School climate factor means across 14 international groups were compared and findings on the association between school climate factors and mental health were also investigated. Findings, from this study, illustrate several cross-national similarities regarding the ways in which secondary students perceive school climate and the influence of school climate on student mental health. These findings can support school psychologists' efforts to identify strategies and …
A Performance-Based Test for Assessing Students’ Online Inquiry Competences in Schools
2018
In this paper, we introduce a performance-based test for measuring adolescents’ competences in online inquiry. The test covers four competence dimensions: (1) searching and selecting relevant sources, (2) identifying the main ideas presented in the sources, (3) evaluating the credibility of the sources, and (4) synthesizing information across the sources. We implement a technological solution called NEURONE to carry out this routine. The scoring of the test data is demonstrated by presenting preliminary results of a case study. Finally, we discuss the strengths and limitations of the test.

Internal regulation of schools : School headmasters and the regulation of teachers'acitivities
2007
The decentralization process of educational system and autonomy given to secondary schools leads to redefinition of the role of school headmasters particularly in the field of pedagogy. Moreover, the traditional mechanism of regulation of teachers' activities (inspection) has been declined. In this case the headmasters of the schools should act as the regulator of teachers' activities. On the one side in literature it has been set that the conflict between bureaucratic and professional characteristics leads to weakening the regulation and problems existing between the headmasters and his teachers. Are the consequences of all the above mentioned issues lead to loose the regulation of teacher…
Efficacité comparée de l'enseignement public et privé au Cameroun

In this thesis, we treat with the efficiency compared by the state education and by the private education in Cameroon. The current educational system carries the marks of colonial period. The educational system is little effective in general. Two educational sub-systems inherited from colonial period work, the one French speaker and the other English speaker. Two secto…
Geographically representative scholarship and internationalization in school and educational psychology: A bibliometric analysis of eight journals fr…
2018
Abstract Although the discipline of school and educational psychology is arguably international (e.g., relevant research and practice is evident in more than 80 countries), there has been limited research examining the international scholarship published in school and educational psychology journals. Such an assessment is important because it provides one important metric for better understanding the field's level of internationalization. The purpose of this study was to evaluate every article (N = 4456) published from 2002 to 2016 across eight school and educational psychology journals that publish international scholarship. Each article's authorship and participant data were coded and rep…
