Osteolytic bone disease is the major complication associated with the progression of multiple myeloma (MM). Recently, extracellular vesicles (EVs) have emerged as mediators of MM-associated bone disease by inhibiting the osteogenic differentiation of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs). Here, we investigated a correlation between the EV-mediated osteogenic inhibition and MM vesicle content, focusing on miRNAs. This paper looks at the rich, and largely unexplored, correspondence of Jan Józef Baranowski, an insurgent in the November Uprising, a refugee in France and England, an accomplished inventor and the author of a two-volume bilingual dictionary (Anglo-Polish lexicon, 1883; Słownik polsko-angielski, 1884). Baranowski’s letters, primarily those addressed to Leonard Niedźwiedzki, allow one to investigate both his lexicographic conceptions and working methods. As it has turned out, the design of his dictionary was innovative, but Baranowski had experience neither in lexicography nor foreign language teaching. Why being there mattered : staged transparency at the International Criminal Court

The International Criminal Court (ICC) represents a criminal justice setting exceptionally welcoming to discourse scholars. The court website provides ample information about ongoing cases, hearings are livestreamed, and transcripts, video footage, and other relevant documents are available online. Against this background of comprehensive transparency, this paper explores the additional value of physically attending ICC trial hearings. An auto-ethnography of how the ICC court landscape structures the visitor's path to the courtroom gallery, it is claimed, brings out the staged nature of the Court's projection of transparency. A partir de l’ús de les TIC que fan els alumnes del màster universitari de Professor/a de Secundària en projectes per a treballar llengua i literatura, destaquem quines d’aquestes eines empren habitualment per a elaborar i presentar treballs acadèmics de gèneres diferents i quins avantatges consideren que n’obtenen. Els resultats indiquen que seria convenient afavorir el coneixement i l’ús de les TIC per tal de millorar les condicions de l’escriptura acadèmica.
