Resumen: El presente artículo expone los resultados del diseño y la validación de un cuestionario sobre fracaso escolar, dirigido al alumnado de Educación Secundaria. Se trabajó con una muestra de 200 estudiantes en el Centro de F.P.A (Formación de Personas Adultas) Germà Colón de Castelló de la Plana (España) durante el curso 2010/2011. El instrumento está compuesto por 35 ítems, divididos en cuatro dimensiones principales (centro educativo, aula, profesorado y situación personal y familiar). Symptoms of psychological ill-being and school dropout intentions among upper secondary education students : a person-centered approach

A person-centered approach was used to identify the profiles of symptoms of psychological ill-being among Finnish upper secondary education students (N = 2889); to examine whether gender and educational track (i.e., academic or vocational) are associated with these profiles; and to investigate the role of profiles in school dropout intentions. Using latent profile analysis, one asymptomatic profile (normative, 79.2%) and three symptomatic profiles (internalizing symptoms, 9.1%; externalizing symptoms, 9.1%; and comorbid symptoms, 2.6%) were identified. Resumen En este trabajo se hace una primera aproximación a la ansiedad de los estudiantes de secundaria ante las ciencias. Se han aplicado a 175 estudiantes de educación secundaria de diferentes cursos dos cuestionarios validados y una prueba de evaluación de competencias científicas. Un cuestionario mide la ansiedad ante diversos contextos científicos y el otro evalúa la ansiedad generada por una prueba de evaluación de ciencias. School-to-work transition in France: the role of education in escaping long-term NEET trajectories

International audience; The aim of this paper is to analyse the school-to-work transition of young people in France, focusing specifically on those who are not in employment, education or training (so-called NEETs), in order to understand their risk of becoming and remaining NEET. Using longitudinal data from a representative national cohort of French young people leaving the educational system in 2010, this study shows how NEET status fits in more or less long-lasting ways in their career pathways. The search for scientific arguments for the inclusion of back health as a fundamental aspect in the contents of physical conditioning for health in Physical Education (PE) in schools has led us to search for the relationship between the resistance of trunk musculature and non-specific low back pain in 1st year compulsory secondary education (CSE) students. Methods. Three tests were used: the front bridge (FB) test, the dominant side bridge (SB) test, and the modified Biering-Sorensen test (BS). Improving students‘ learning strategies is important for them in order to learn successfully. This article compares the self-perception of the use of learning strategies in Spanish and Lithuanian secondary schools students when learning science and analyse the students understanding of these strategies to determine the sociocultural environment influence on this perception. Results emphasize the need to include support actions to improve the management of strategies in secondary school.
