On the Directly and Subdirectly Irreducible Many-Sorted Algebras

AbstractA theorem of single-sorted universal algebra asserts that every finite algebra can be represented as a product of a finite family of finite directly irreducible algebras. In this article, we show that the many-sorted counterpart of the above theorem is also true, but under the condition of requiring, in the definition of directly reducible many-sorted algebra, that the supports of the factors should be included in the support of the many-sorted algebra. Moreover, we show that the theorem of Birkhoff, according to which every single-sorted algebra is isomorphic to a subdirect product of subdirectly irreducible algebras, is also true in the field of many-sorted algebras.

In this way, the City Hall of Torrent has developed the strategy called Torrent INNOVA. It was framed inside a quality management system named EVAM framework. Thereby, citizen’s charts are an important instrument in order to manage local context and apply new public administrative innovations.

Quantum query algorithms for certain functions and general algorithm construction techniques

Quantum algorithms can be analyzed in a query model to compute Boolean functions where input is given in a black box, but the aim is to compute function value for arbitrary input using as few queries as possible. In this paper we concentrate on quantum query algorithm designing tasks. The main aim of research was to find new efficient algorithms and develop general algorithm designing techniques. We present several exact quantum query algorithms for certain problems that are better than classical counterparts. Quantum versus classical query complexity of relation

This paper investigates the computability of mathematical relations in a quantum query model. The important task in complexity theory is to find examples with a large gap between classical and quantum algorithm complexity of the same computational problem. We present new results in quantum query algorithm design that allow achieving a large separation between classical and quantum query complexity of a specific relation. We demonstrate an example where quantum query algorithm for a finite relation needs more than two times fewer queries than the best possible classical analogue. We also show that relation can be extended to infinite family of relations with an input of general size N.

Sediments carried in suspension represent a fundamental part of fluvial transport. Nonetheless, largely because of technical problems, they have been hitherto widely neglected in provenance studies. Clathrin-independent entry of baculovirus triggers uptake of E. coli in non-phagocytic human cells

The prototype baculovirus, Autographa californica multiple nucleopolyhedrovirus, an insect pathogen, holds great potential as a gene therapy vector. To develop transductional targeting and gene delivery by baculovirus, we focused on characterizing the nature and regulation of its uptake in human cancer cells. Baculovirus entered the cells along fluid-phase markers from the raft areas into smooth-surfaced vesicles devoid of clathrin. Notably, regulators associated with macropinocytosis, namely EIPA, Pak1, Rab34, and Rac1, had no significant effect on viral transduction, and the virus did not induce fluid-phase uptake. Protection against myxomatosis and rabbit viral hemorrhagic disease with recombinant myxoma viruses expressing rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus capsi…

Two myxoma virus-rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus (RHDV) recombinant viruses were constructed with the SG33 strain of myxoma virus to protect rabbits against myxomatosis and rabbit viral hemorrhagic disease. These recombinant viruses expressed the RHDV capsid protein (VP60). The recombinant protein, which is 60 kDa in size, was antigenic, as revealed by its reaction in immunoprecipitation with antibodies raised against RHDV. Both recombinant viruses induced high levels of RHDV- and myxoma virus-specific antibodies in rabbits after immunization. Inoculations by the intradermal route protected animals against virulent RHDV and myxoma virus challenges.

Analyzing assessors and products in sorting tasks: DISTATIS, theory and applications

Abstract In this paper we present a new method called distatis that can be applied to the analysis of sorting data. D istatis is a generalization of classical multidimensional scaling which allows one to analyze 3-ways distance tables. When used for analyzing sorting tasks, distatis takes into account individual sorting data.
