The inner nuclear membrane protein Src1 associates with subtelomeric genes and alters their regulated gene expression

Inner nuclear membrane proteins containing a LEM (LAP2, emerin, and MAN1) domain participate in different processes, including chromatin organization, gene expression, and nuclear envelope biogenesis. In this study, we identify a robust genetic interaction between transcription export (TREX) factors and yeast Src1, an integral inner nuclear membrane protein that is homologous to vertebrate LEM2. DNA macroarray analysis revealed that the expression of the phosphate-regulated genes PHO11, PHO12, and PHO84 is up-regulated in src1Δ cells. Abstract An enantiomerically pure diamine based on the 4,15‐difunctionalized [2.2]paracyclophane scaffold and 2‐formylpyridine self‐assemble into an optically pure cyclic metallosupramolecular Fe4L6 helicate upon mixing with iron(II) ions in a diastereoselective subcomponent self‐assembly process. The cyclic assembly results from steric strain that prevents the formation of a smaller linear dinuclear triple‐stranded helicate, and hence, leads to the larger strain‐free assembly that fulfils the maximum occupancy rule. This study aims to examine the neural correlates of cognitive shifting during the Dimensional Change Card Sort Task (DCCS) task with functional near-infrared spectroscopy. Altogether 49 children completed the DCCS tasks, and 25 children (Mage = 68.66, SD = 5.3) passing all items were classified into the Switch group. Twenty children (Mage = 62.05, SD = 8.13) committing more than one perseverative errors were grouped into the Perseverate group. ABSTRACT Cell surface heparan sulfate proteoglycans (HSPGs) serve as primary attachment receptors for human papillomaviruses (HPVs). To demonstrate that a biologically functional HPV-receptor interaction is restricted to a specific subset of HSPGs, we first explored the role of HSPG glucosaminoglycan side chain modifications. Abstract This paper describes an image acquisition and a processing system based on a new coprocessor architecture designed for CMOS sensor imaging. The system exploits the full potential CMOS selective access imaging technology because the coprocessor unit is integrated into the image acquisition loop. The acquisition and coprocessing architecture are compatible with the majority of CMOS sensors.
