Tiivistelmä – Abstract Tämän maisterintutkielman tavoitteena oli kuvata asiantuntijaorganisaatiossa työskentelevien henkilöiden käsityksiä ja kokemuksia työn ja yksityisen elämän välisestä rajankäynnistä. Rajankäynti on vuorovaikutusprosessi, jossa käsitykset ja kokemukset muodostuvat työyhteisön vuorovaikutuksessa pitäen sisällään myös jännitteitä. Tutkielmaa varten tehtiin viisitoista yksilöhaastattelua kahdessa asiantuntijaorganisaatiossa. Haastattelut toteutettiin puolistrukturoituina teemahaastatteluina ja aineiston analyysi tapahtui laadullisesti teemoitellen ja koodaten. Background Mothers with lifelong care responsibilities might involuntarily be non-employed or work part-time, both of which are defined as “underemployment.” This study aimed to investigate who these underemployed mothers are and what are the factors associated with such employment hardship when having a child with intellectual disability (ID). AbstractLähdesmäki analyses the heritage-policy discourses of the EU and the Council of Europe. She particularly discusses how these institutions deal with the challenges the idea of heritage faces in today’s Europe and the opportunities that these may present to respond to these challenges. The analysis shows how the EU and the Council of Europe seek to reconcile heritage-related conflicts by approaching heritage as a space for civil participation, interaction, intercultural dialogue, and conversation about divergent values and narrations of the past. Korona-ajan opetus on vaatinut kouluilta, oppilailta ja vanhemmilta monenlaista sopeutumista. Rehtorit ja opettajat tekivät ympäripyöreää päivää huolehtiakseen oppilaista. Oppilaat kaipasivat kouluyhteisöään ja vanhemmat ohjausta lasten koulunkäynnin tukemisessa. The work-family interface and its correlates : integrating variable and person oriented approaches

The aim of this research was to examine key correlates of the interaction between work and family in one Nordic country, Finland, using a person- oriented and variable-oriented approach. The correlates that were chosen and examined over the course of three studies were job control and work-family boundary management styles, turnover intention, core self-evaluations, and vigor at work. Gendered Work-life Ideologies among IT Professionals

The study investigates the discourses IT professionals use to produce work–life relations. We focus on work–life ideologies and explore the agencies produced, as well as whether and how they are gendered. Our data were collected in interviews with 24 women and men working in the IT industry in Finland. Our results show, first, that work–life relations were constructed discursively through two different work–life ideologies, and second, that these ideologies produced different gendered agencies in reconciling work with life.
