Analyse expérimentale et numérique du comportement de véhicules terrestres en présence d'un vent latéral instationnaire

2013

The automotive manufacturers are nowadays more and more interested in crosswind aerodynamics. Indeed, the driver is subjected every day to strong side air flows, for example when overtaking another vehicle or when passing through a lateral wind wall, generated by terrain topography (as in the case of the passage near the empty space between two buildings). The aerodynamic efforts generated in these situations can lead to undesired lateral deviations, which can be dramatic if the driver is surprised. Different experimental studies, reproducing the effects of a dynamic yaw angle, pointed out the issues of the steady methods, commonly used to qualify the vehicle crosswind behaviour. Little is st…

Ultrastructure of preimplantation genetic diagnosis-derived human blastocysts grown in a coculture system after vitrification

2006

Objective To evaluate ultrastructural features of preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) blastocysts before and after vitrification. Design Descriptive study of both vitrified and fresh hatching blastocysts. Setting PGD program at the Instituto Universitario, Instituto Valenciano de Infertilidad. Patient(s) Patients undergoing PGD donated their abnormal embryos for research (n = 26). Intervention(s) Biopsied embryos were cultured in the presence of human endometrial cells until day 6. Sixteen blastocysts were vitrified. A total of 11 high-scored hatching blastocysts, 6 warmed and 5 fresh, were fixed for ultrastructure. Main Outcome Measure(s) The cytoskeleton structure, type of intercellul…

Kinetic control in the chiral recognition of three-bladed propellers

2010

The ion pair of the stereolabile C(3)-symmetric, i(+)o proton complex [1H](+) of diaza-macropentacycle 1 and the configurationally stable Delta-TRISPHAT ([Delta-3](-)) anion exists in the form of two diastereomers, namely, [Delta-(1.H)][Delta-3] and [Lambda-(1.H)][Delta-3], the ratio of which, in terms of diastereomeric excess (de) decreases in the order [D(8)]THF (28%)CD(2)Cl(2) (22%)CDCl(3) (20%)[D(8)]toluene (16%)C(6)D(6) (7%)[D(6)]acetone (0%) at thermodynamic equilibrium. Except in the case of [D(6)]acetone, the latter is reached after a period of time that increases from 1 h ([D(8)]THF) to 24 h (CDCl(3)). Moreover, the initial value of the de of [1.H][Delta-3] in CDCl(3), before the t…

Magnetic Molecular Conductors Based on Bis(ethylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalene (BEDT-TTF) and the Tris(chlorocyananilato)ferrate(III) Complex

2019

Electrocrystallization of the bis(ethylenedithio)tetrathiafulvalene (BEDT-TTF) organic donor in the presence of the [Fe(ClCNAn)3]3– tris(chlorocyananilato)ferrate(III) paramagnetic anion in different stoichiometric ratios and solvent mixtures afforded two different hybrid systems formulated as [BEDT-TTF]4[Fe(ClCNAn)3]·3H2O (1) and [BEDT-TTF]5[Fe(ClCNAn)3]2·2CH3CN (2) (An = anilato). Compounds 1 and 2 present unusual structures without the typical segregated organic and inorganic layers, where layers of 1 are formed by Λ and Δ enantiomers of the anionic paramagnetic complex together with mixed-valence BEDT-TTF tetramers, while layers of 2 are formed by Λ and Δ enantiomers of the paramagnetic…

Alkane oxidation by a carboxylate-bridged dimanganese(III) complex

2001

[EN] A new manganese( III) oxamato dimer possesing an unprecedented Mn-2(mu -O2CR)(mu -OH2. . .O2CR) core has been synthesised, structurally and magnetically characterised, and used as a catalyst for the oxidation of alkanes to alcohols and ketones by (BuO2H)-O-t and O-2 in CH2Cl2 at rt.

Crystalline subtype of pre-descemetic corneal dystrophy.

2014

Purpose: To report corneal findings in a familial case of the crystalline subtype of pre- Descemetic corneal dystrophy. Case Report: A 19-year-old girl and her 44-year-old mother were found to have asymptomatic, bilateral, punctiform and multi-colored crystalline opacities across the whole posterior layer of the corneas. Endothelial specular microscopy revealed the presence of white round flecks located at different levels anterior to the endothelium. No systemic abnormalities or medications could be related to account for these findings. Conclusion: To the best of our knowledge, this is the third familial report of this rare corneal disorder. Differential diagnosis may include Schnyder cor…

PHOTOINDUCED HARDENING AND REDUCTION OF DISLOCATION MOBILITY IN C60SINGLE CRYSTALS: THE WAVELENGTH DEPENDENCE

2002

An increase of the microhardness and decrease of the dislocation mobility in C60 single crystals after light-irradiation in the wavelength range of 150–900nm in air has been observed giving evidence for photo-induced change in bonding. Efficiency of C60 phototransformation was found to increase with decreasing the wavelength.

Synthesis, crystal structure and magnetic properties of a new cyanide-bridged mixed-valence copper(I)/copper(II) clathrate

2013

A unique cyanide-bridge mixed-valence CuI/CuII clathrate of formula [CuI2(CN)3][{CuII(tren)}2(μ-CN)](CF3SO3)2 [tren = tris(2-aminoethyl)amine] containing cyanide-bridged [{CuII(tren)}2(μ-CN)]3 + binuclear cations stacked between anionic honeycomb layered copper(I) cyanide networks, was synthesized and structurally characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility studies showed that the cyanide bridge mediates a strong antiferromagnetic interaction between the copper(II) centers (J = − 160 cm− 1, the spin Hamiltonian being defined as H = − JSA⋅SB).
