All’interno del dibattito culturale che vede la questione ambientale come prioritaria e con riferimento a studi e ricerche che negli ultimi anni hanno promosso materiali compositi a base di terra cruda, gli Autori, consapevoli della necessità che il rapporto fra Progetto e Materia debba assumere una nuova centralità supportato dalle specificità della Tecnologia dell’Architettura, illustrano le risultanze di una sperimentazione che ha l’obiettivo di migliorare le prestazioni della terra cruda con l’apporto delle nanotecnologie, sviluppando un ‘nuovo materiale’ con una ridotta embodied energy e una ridotta quantità di emissioni di CO2 in atmosfera.

An Extension of the VSM Documents Representation using Word Embedding

Abstract In this paper, we will present experiments that try to integrate the power of Word Embedding representation in real problems for documents classification. Word Embedding is a new tendency used in the natural language processing domain that tries to represent each word from the document in a vector format. This representation embeds the semantically context in that the word occurs more frequently. We include this new representation in a classical VSM document representation and evaluate it using a learning algorithm based on the Support Vector Machine. Evaluation of the Effects of a Bullying at Work Intervention for Middle Managers.

The aim of the study is to evaluate the effects of a workplace bullying intervention based on the training of middle managers regarding bullying awareness, the consequences of bullying, strategies in conflict resolution and mediation/negotiation abilities. Overall, 142 randomly selected middle managers participated in the study. First, participants completed an information record and two scales assessing bullying strategies, role conflict and role ambiguity. The last two scales were completed again in a second phase three months after the intervention had finished. Meeting others—supporting situation awareness on the WWW

Abstract World Wide Web (WWW) techniques provide a simple interface, which is accessible almost everywhere. The WWW supports document sharing and information retrieval, but has no tools for direct user interaction, simply because the mechanisms to support user awareness are missing. The aim of this paper is twofold. First, we present general concepts of situation awareness, which concerns the user interaction on the WWW platform, and a theoretical framework, which is used in examining existing awareness support systems.
