Lo studio indaga la posizione delle technai nell’opera di Eschilo, con particolare attenzione per il ruolo occupato dalle divinità come originarie, quando non esclusive detentrici e inventrici dei saperi tecnici. Attraverso una dettagliata disamina dell’uso del vocabolario della techne nei diversi drammi eschilei, emerge una doppia accezione del sapere tecnico, sia tradizionale che specificamente prometeico. The link between violence and suicidal behavior among female university students in Spain

Objective: To explore the association between violence and suicidal behavior in female university students. Method: A convenience sample of 540 female students enrolled in the Nursing and Teacher Training Faculties at the University of Valencia was selected. Violence by partners, nonpartners, and both was compared with suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts. An adjusted logistic regression and the Wald Test were performed to explore whether the effect on student's suicidal behavior differed if a partner or others committed violence. A two-point boundary value formulation of a mean-field crowd-averse game

Abstract We consider a population of “crowd-averse” dynamic agents controlling their states towards regions of low density. This represents a typical dissensus behavior in opinion dynamics. Assuming a quadratic density distribution, we first introduce a mean-field game formulation of the problem, and then we turn the game into a two-point boundary value problem. Such a result has a value in that it turns a set of coupled partial differential equations into ordinary differential equations.

Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, vai pastāv saistība starp trauksmi, automātiskām negatīvām domām un emociju regulāciju. Pētījumā piedalījās 83 respondenti vecumā no 21 līdz 65 gadiem (M = 37,55, SD = 1,09), no tiem 42% bija sievietes un 58% bija vīrieši (35 sievietes, 48 vīrieši). Sin embargo, su herencia en este ámbito sociológico ha dado lugar a interpretaciones muy polarizadas. Este artículo quiere aportar algo de luz evidenciando las contradicciones del marxismo al estudiar el papel de la mujer en la familia. AbstractUtilizing such concepts as “colonial complicity” and “colonialism without colonies”, this chapter examines the case of Finns and Finland as a nation that was once oppressed but also itself complicit in colonialism. International audience; This paper analyses the different approaches of two pioneering economists in the field of development finance, Ursula Kathleen Hicks (1896-1985) and Vera Constance Lutz (1912-1976). While research in economics in the 1950s focuses predominantly on finance in already developed countries (Goldsmith, 1969 and Gurley and Shaw, 1955), Hicks and Lutz extended the analysis to developing countries and/or regions – an original initiative for this period of time. Interested in the study of money and banking, Hicks and Lutz nevertheless had different beliefs on the way to promote economic development. This difference of thought comes from differing philosophical backgrounds.
