High resolution in currents reconstruction applying the extrapolation matrix and spectrum replies

A faster method for the reconstruction of currents has been proposed. For this a new algorithm has been used which extrapolates a 2D signal in less time than the iterative method of Papoulis. Results exposed in this paper show the likeness of the reconstructed currents with the new algorithm with those of the iterative method and the improvement that might be obtained in these new currents with regard to the iterative one. Furthermore, results show the higher speed of the new matrix method.

Abstract A new multi-class method has been developed for the identification and quantification of the residues of 26 antibiotics from different classes (sulfonamides, macrolides, tetracyclines, penicillins, and quinolones) in milk and meat by ultra performance liquid chromatography coupled to hybrid quadrupole – high resolution Orbitrap mass spectrometry (UPLC–qOrbitrap). The sample preparation included extraction of two analytical portions with acetonitrile and 5% trichloroacetic acid, respectively, followed by centrifugation and filtration. Assessing the role of evidence of mechanisms in causal extrapolation

Extrapolation of causal claims from study populations to other populations of interest is a problematic issue. The standard approach in experimental research, which prioritises randomized controlled trials and statistical evidence, is not devoid of difficulties. Granted that, it has been defended that evidence of mechanisms is indispensable for causal extrapolation. We argue, contrarily, that this sort of evidence is not indispensable. Nonetheless, we also think that occasionally it may be helpful. In order to clarify its relevance, we introduce a distinction between a positive and a negative role of evidence of mechanisms. The explosive pollination mechanism of the prayer plants (Marantaceae) is unique among plants. After a tactile stimulus by a pollinator, the style curls up rapidly and mediates pollen exchange. We analyze elementary building blocks for quantum repeaters based on fiber channels and memory stations. Implementations are considered for three different physical platforms, for which suitable components are available: quantum dots, trapped atoms and ions, and color centers in diamond. We evaluate and compare the performances of basic quantum repeater links for these platforms both for present-day, state-of-the-art experimental parameters as well as for parameters that could in principle be reached in the future. Abstract Electrochromic compounds are suitable candidates for being used in sensor design. Here we report the use of 4,4’,4’’,4’’’-tetrakis(dimethylamino)-tetraphenylethylene for detecting both NO2 and SO2. Whereas the sensing mechanism in the case of nitrogen dioxide is a simple chemical oxidation reaction, in the case of sulfur dioxide, the mechanism is much more complex and the reaction requires the presence of t-butylhydroperoxide to take place. By modifying the detection conditions both compounds can be detected in gas phase. Additionally, a wide electrochemical study has been carried out to understand the role played by the t-butylhydroperoxide in the reaction with sulfur dioxide.
