Abstract Nanocarrier (NC)‐mediated drug delivery is widely researched in medicine but to date has not been used in agriculture. The first curative NC‐based treatment of the worldwide occurring grapevine trunk disease Esca, with more than 2 billion infected plants causing a loss yearly of $1.5 billion, is presented. To date, only repetitive spraying of fungicides is used to reduce chances of infection. This long‐term treatment against Esca uses minimal amounts of fungicide encapsulated in biobased and biodegradable lignin NCs. In article number 1802315, Jochen Fischer, Frederik R. Wurm, and co‐workers report the first nanocarrier‐mediated drug delivery in plants. Enzyme‐degradable lignin nanocarriers are injected into the trunks of grapevine plants. They release a fungicide selectively inside of the plants and are able to cure the worldwide fungal plant disease Esca for the first time. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, kādas ir saistības starp piedzīvotu vardarbību bērnībā, pornogrāfijas skatīšanos, kaitējoši seksuālu uzvedību un attieksmi pret seksuālu vardarbību pusaudžiem. Pētījumā piedalījās pusaudži: 104 meitenes un 54 zēni no 14-16 gadu vecumam no dažādām Rīgas vispārizglītojošām skolām. Pētījuma dalībnieki aizpildīja “Bērnības traumas aptauju”, “Attieksmes pret seksuāliem kontaktiem” aptauju, daļu no “Bērnu viktimizācijas aptaujas -bērnu pašnovērtējuma formas”- tā tika papildināta ar jautājumiem, kas vērsti uz savu uzvedību, kā arī atbildēja uz jautājumu par pornogrāfijas skatīšanās pieredzi. Activated carbons (ACs) can be produced from biomass in a thermal process either in a direct carbonization-activation process or by first carbonizing the biomass and later activating the bio-chars into activated carbons. The properties of the ACs are dependent on the type of process used for production. In this study, the properties of activated carbons produced in one-stage and two-stage processes are considered.
