Przykazania w biblijnym Izraelu stanowiły trwały fundament relacji z Bogiem i z drugim człowiekiem, będąc tym samym podstawowym elementem formowania się społeczności ludzkiej. W tym względzie przykazanie „Nie mów fałszywego świadectwa przeciw bliźniemu swemu”, nabierało szczególnej wartości. Wielość i różnorodność sytuacji skłaniała do prawnych uściśleń, czego potwierdzeniem jest kodeks praw w Księdze Wyjścia i w Księdze Powtórzonego Prawa. Celem niniejszego przedłożenia jest wypracowanie kryteriologii umożliwiającej ocenę roszczeń prawdziwościowych poszczególnych religii oraz odróżnienie autentycznych religii od zjawisk pseudoreligijnych. Ze względu na złożoność problematyki ukazano najpierw tło historyczne zagadnienia oraz zwrócono uwagę na jego współczesny kontekst. Tarski's T-scheme as an alleged basis of Montague semantics

My point in this paper is to focus on some details of Alfred Tarski’s writing that in my opinion have not been aptly represented — or aptly rejected — in Richard Montague’s grammar and to agree with those who share Tarski’s view that human language is something uncapturable. The paper consists of two parts, concerning 1) some attempts to formalize the non-declarative utterances, and 2) the limitations of T-scheme and of Montague grammar.

Turning experience into expertise : technologies of the self in Finnish participatory social policy

This article investigates the micro-level practices of subject-construction in Finnish participatory social policy. Through a governmental ethnography on projects that invite former beneficiaries to become ‘experts-by-experience’ in social welfare organizations, I discern the possibilities for freedom in the participants’ self-construction. By making use of Michel Foucault’s conceptual tools of care of the self and confession, I illustrate how, contrary to the projects’ emancipatory promise of providing the service users the freedom to reconstruct themselves, the projects entail practices that curb the participants’ way of ‘knowing themselves’.
