Introduction Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) may affect adherence to planned chemotherapy treatments and compromise patients’ quality of life during the therapy. NEPA is an oral fixed combination of netupitant, a highly-selective NK1-RA and palonosetron, a 5HT3-RA, approved for the prevention of acute and delayed CINV. The earliest tupilakosaurid amphibian with diplospondylous vertebrae from the Late Permian of southern France

5 pages; International audience; A well-preserved vertebral column from the Late Permian of Southern France (Lopingian, La Lieude Formation, Lodève Basin) is described. It is composed of diplospondylous vertebrae and is most comparable with the temnospondyl Tupilakosaurus previously known from the Early Triassic of Greenland and Russia. This new specimen therefore represents the earliest occurrence of a diplospondylous tupilakosaur, and extends the geographic range of the group to Western Europe. It is an aquatic temnospondyl that used the anguilliform undulatory mode of swimming.

Polish highlander jokes and their targets

The aim of the paper is to identify the characteristic features of jokes about Polish highlanders and analyse them to isolate the comic script of a highlander. This group of jokes is treated as a good illustration of Christie Davies’s ethnic jokes theory concerning canny versus stupid and centre versus periphery oppositions, as well as mind over matter. A particular type of reasoning and the use of regional dialect are distinctive features of the joke targets that make it possible to perceive these jokes as a culturally specific phenomenon. Purpose: Chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) is one of the most feared and disturbing adverse events of cancer treatment associated with decreased adherence to effective chemotherapy regimens. For high-risk soft tissue sarcoma patients, receiving multiple-day chemotherapy (MD-CT), antiemetic guidelines recommend a combination of an NK 1 receptor antagonist (NK 1 -RA), a 5-HT 3 receptor antagonist (5HT 3 -RA), and dexamethasone on each day of the antineoplastic treatment.
