Antimykotische wirkstoffe. XXI. Aliphatisch und alicyclisch substituierte chlor-diallylamino-1l,3,5-triazine
1988
By nucleophilic substitution of on…
ChemInform Abstract: Cobalt Clusters with Cubane-Type Topologies Based on Trivacant Polyoxometalate Ligands.
2016
Four novel cobalt-substituted polyoxometalates having cobalt cores exhibiting cubane or dicubane topologies have been synthesized and characterized by IR, elemental analysis, electrochemistry, UV–vis spectroscopy, X-ray single-crystal analysis, and magnetic studies. The tetracobalt(II)-substituted polyoxometalate [Co4(OH)3(H2O)6(PW9O34)]4– (1) consists of a trilacunary [B-α-PW9O34]9– unit which accommodates a cubane-like {CoII4O4} core. In the heptacobalt(II,III)-containing polyoxometalates [Co7(OH)6(H2O)6(PW9O34)2]9– (2), [Co7(OH)6(H2O)4(PW9O34)2]n9n– (3), and [Co7(OH)6(H2O)6(P2W15O56)2]15– (4), dicubane-like {CoII6CoIIIO8} cores are encapsulated between two heptadentate [B-α-PW9O34]9– (in…
Antidiabetische wirkstoffe. V Lang- und verzweigtkettig substituierte chlor-dihexylamino-1,3,5-triazine
1985
The nucleophilic substitution of one chlorine atom in 2,4-dichloro-6-dihexylamino-1,3,5-triazine (1) by amines 2a-c leads to the alkylamino-chlorodihexylamino-1,3,5-triazin…
Involvement of Peroxynitrite on the Early Loss of P450 in Short-Term Hepatocyte Cultures
2001
The biological chemistry of nitric oxide (NO) in the oxygenated cellular environment is extremely complex. It involves the direct interaction of NO with specific biomolecules and the so-called indirect effects, due to secondary more potent oxidant species derived from NO which are also able to react with DNA, lipids, thiols and transition metals (Wink et al. 1996; Nathan, 1992). In addition to its regulatory role as a signalling molecule (Nathan, 1992; Moncada and Palmer, 1991) it has become evident that NO (or NO-derived species) is a critical factor involved in various toxicological mechanisms (Wink et al. 1996; Wang et al. 1998; Estevez et al. 1999; Wink et al. 1999). Some controversy ex…
P4140Myeloid but not endothelial expression of the CB2 receptor promotes atherogenesis in the context of elevated levels of the endocannabinoid 2-ara…
2019
Abstract Background The endocannabinoid 2-arachidonoylglycerol (2-AG) is an inflammatory mediator and ligand to the cannabinoid receptors CB1 and CB2, which are expressed on myeloid and endothelial cells. 2-AG has recently been described to promote atherogenesis in ApoE-deficient mice. While the CB2 receptor has previously been considered to solely exert anti-inflammatory and atheroprotective effects, newer data have raised the notion, that CB2 might exert atherogenic effects in the context of elevated 2-AG plasma levels. In the present study, we investigated the atherogenic mechanisms of 2-AG and the role of the CB2 receptor on myeloid and endothelial cells in atherogenesis using cell-spec…
In-vitro Proteoglykansynthese in redifferenzierten Chondrozyten
1989
Human chondrocytes growing in monolayer cultures de-differentiate and produce type I collagen. They re-differentiate and resume their in-vivo characteristics (including the production of type II collagen) when cultured in an agarose-gel. To characterize the modulated cells in more detail, biochemical studies were performed in chondrocytes suspended in agarose for 1 to 3 weeks.
Photochemical reactivity of 6α-hydroxy, 7-keto neoclerodane diterpenoids
2006
Abstract The photochemical reactivity, in methanol at λ = 254 nm, of two 6α-hydroxy-7-keto neoclerodane, isoeriocephalin ( 1 ) and teucrolivin B ( 2 ) was evaluated. From the first compound, two new products were obtained: the 6β-hydroxy epimer ( 3 ) and the ɛ-lactone ( 4 ). The second one yielded exclusively the new spiro γ-lactone ( 5 ). The formation of these new products can be explained by the well-known radical mechanism Norrish type I.
ChemInform Abstract: New Binary Antimonide Hf5Sb3 - Differences and Similarities to the Zr Antimonides.
2010
Abstract Hf5Sb3 can be prepared by arc-melting of hafnium and previously synthesized HfSb2. It crystallizes like the high-temperature modification of Zr5Sb3 in the Y5Bi3 structure type, space group Pnma, Z=4, a=740.75(9) pm, b=871.8(1) pm, c=1073.6(1) pm, V=693.3(1) 106pm3. An antimonide analogous to the low-temperature form of Zr5Sb3 was not obtained during our investigations. In the structure of Hf5Sb3, the Hf atoms form a three-dimensional network with numerous short Hf–Hf contacts, including the Sb atoms in severely distorted two- and three-capped trigonal prismatic voids. Calculations of the electronic structure, performed with the extended Huckel approximation as well as the TB-LMTO-A…
Zinc and inflammatory/immune response in aging
2007
Life-long antigenic burden determines a condition of chronic inflammation, with increased lymphocyte activation and proinflammatory cytokine production. A large number of studies have documented changes in zinc metabolism in experimental animal models of acute and chronic inflammation and in human chronic inflammatory conditions. In particular, modification of zinc plasma concentration, as well as intracellular disturbance of antioxidant intracellular pathways, has been found in aging and in some age-related diseases. Zinc deficiency is diffused in aged individuals in order to avoid meat and other high zinc content foods due to fear of cholesterol. Rather, they increase the consumption of r…
Ecophysiology of germination in Sicilian population of Ferula communis (Umbelliferae)
2010
Ferula communis L. is an umbelliferous plant widespread in the Mediterranean basin and particularly abundant in Sicily and Sardinia islands (Italy). In this species, two chemotypes have been distinguished: one is poisonous and responsible of hemorrhagic syndrome of livestock, known as ferulosis, while the other one (non- poisonous) has anticancer activity due to the presence of daucane esters. In Sicily the dry stem of this plant has commercial applications in special manufactured products. The object of the research was to investigate the germination ecophysiology of nine Sicilian populations of F. communis, in order to establish the correct germplasm conservation of the chemotypes economi…
