Semigenerated Carnot algebras and applications to sub-Riemannian perimeter

This paper contributes to the study of sets of finite intrinsic perimeter in Carnot groups. Our intent is to characterize in which groups the only sets with constant intrinsic normal are the vertical half-spaces. Our viewpoint is algebraic: such a phenomenon happens if and only if the semigroup generated by each horizontal half-space is a vertical half-space. We call semigenerated those Carnot groups with this property. For Carnot groups of nilpotency step 3 we provide a complete characterization of semigeneration in terms of whether such groups do not have any Engel-type quotients. Frazeoloģismu tulkošana ir viens no sarežģītākajiem uzdevumiem, ko tulkotājs var uzņemties, jo frazeoloģismi ir sarežģīti izteicieni un starp abām valodām pastāv kultūras atšķirības. Šī pētījuma mērķis ir analizēt frazeoloģismus latviešu valodas tulkojumā filmās un seriālos. Mērķa sasniegšanai tika veikta satura analīze, kurā tika analizētas sešas filmas un viens seriāls, un aptaujas pētījums, kurā tika apkopoti tulkotāju viedokļi par frazeoloģismu atveidi. Pētījumā tika konstatēts, ka visbiežāk sastopamais veids ir caurspīdīgie (transparent) frazeoloģismi un visbiežāk izmantotā tulkošanas stratēģija bija parafrāze. Sea surges in the Gulf of Lions are mainly forced by southerly and south-easterly winds. This regional-scale atmospheric circulation is leading by a strong zonal gradient between low pressure system over the Bay of Biscay and high pressure over central Europe. This synoptic-scale circulation mostly happens during “Greenland Above” weather regime. Brain reward dysfunction in eating disorders has been widely reported. However, whether the neural correlates of hedonic and motivational experiences related to food cues are differentially affected in anorexia nervosa of restrictive type (ANr), bulimia nervosa (BN), and healthy control (HC) participants remains unknown. Here, 39 women (14 ANr, 13 BN, and 12 HC) underwent fMRI while smelling food or non-food odors in hunger and satiety states during liking and wanting tasks.
