On the circumscription and taxonomic status of Centaurea caballeroi (Compositae)

Se aportan datos sobre algunos táxones del grupo de Centaurea linifolia presentes en las sierras de la Comunidad Valenciana y áreas limítrofes. Como resultado se propone reconocer en C. antennata tres subespecies, con síndromes de caracteres propios, que ocupan áreas geográficas bien delimitadas y presentan un comportamiento ecológico diferenciado. Según esto, se propone la nueva combinación C. antennata subsp. caballeroi para las poblaciones del sur de Tarragona y norte de Castellón, seleccionándose además un lectótipo. Para cada taxon aceptado se indican sus caracteres morfológicos diferenciales, distribución y ecología. Además, se aporta una clave de identificación. Data are reported on …

Seneca’s Consolation to Marcia embraces the orthodox Stoic view that, when unduly protracted, grief reflects a logical misunderstanding of the natural world, human life, and the limits of the self. Seneca is aware that persuading Marcia to leave her false beliefs is the only way to reawaken her interest in communal life, family reciprocity, and constructive memory. High-fidelity simulation among bachelor students in simulation groups and use of different roles.

Cost limitations might challenge the use of high-fidelity simulation as a teaching-learning method. This article presents the results of a Norwegian project including two simulation studies in which simulation teaching and learning were studied among students in the second year of a three-year bachelor nursing programme. The students were organised into small simulation groups with different roles; nurse, physician, family member and observer. Zinc(II) complexes of amide- and urea-substituted 8-hydroxyquinolines

Abstract A series of amide- and urea-substituted 8-hydroxyquinoline ligands 1–6-H are used for the formation of zinc(II) complexes. Hereby in general 2:1 complexes are obtained and the X-ray structure of [(3)2Zn] reveals the presence of a coordination polymer in the solid state. Only the derivatives of 7-amino-8-hydroxyquinoline 4-H and 5-H form trinuclear hexa-helical 6:3 complexes which exhibit interesting structural and NMR and fluorescence spectroscopic properties.
