Karjalan kuvia : siirtokarjalaisten jälkeläisten tulkintoja 2010-luvun Karjala-kuvastosta

Tutkielmassa tarkastelen siirtokarjalaisten jälkeläisten tulkintoja Karjalasta ja karjalaisuudesta. Vastaajien tulkinnat olen kerännyt verkkomuotoisella kyselyllä, johon vastasi 415 siirtokarjalaisten jälkeläistä. Vertailen saamiani vastauksia ajankohtaisten Karjala-tutkimusten ja yleisesti käytävän Karjala-keskustelun tuottamiin mielikuviin Karjalasta sekä omiin tulkintoihini karjalaisena. Selvitän erityisesti sitä, vaikuttaako Suomen alueluovutuksista juontuva kulttuurinen trauma evakkosukupolven jälkeläisten näkemyksiin, vai ovatko traumapohjaiset tunnemuistot saaneet rinnalleen uusia tulkintoja. Lukion opetussuunnitelma uudistui vuonna 2015. Uudistuneessa OPS:ssa kannustetaan oppiainerajat ylittävään laaja-alaiseen oppimiseen. Tämä tarjoaa uusia ja mielenkiintoisia lähestymistapoja kielenopettamiseen lukiossa. Tämä materiaalipaketti yhdistää kuvataiteen ja englannin kielen opettamisen valokuvauksen avulla. Valokuvia on tänä päivänä helppo ottaa, sillä lähes jokaisella on älypuhelin, johon on tavallisesti integroitu kamera. Kameran avulla oppilaat pääsevät toteuttamaan luovuuttaan, jota tällä hetkellä ei painoteta tarpeeksi opiskelussa. This article provides a rare opportunity to follow the inception of mining and mine exploration economy in the first years of the European presence in colonial Zambia and Katanga as seen through the eyes of prospectors and mining experts working for the London-based company Tanganyika Concessions Limited. It draws on company records as well as the personal records of the early company employees who worked in North Western Rhodesia and adjoining Katanga until 1906. Abstract In ethnographically oriented linguistic landscape studies, social spaces are studied in co-operation with research participants, many times through mobile encounters such as walking. Talking, walking, photographing and video recording as well as writing the fieldwork diary are activities that result in the accumulation of heterogeneous, multimodal corpora. We analyze data from a Hungarian school ethnography project to reconstruct fieldwork encounters and analyze embodiment, the handling of devices (e.g. the photo camera) and verbal interaction in exploratory, participant-led walking tours. Pro gradussa tarkastellaan valokuvien käyttöä taiteilijoiden apuna. Tutkimuksessa kerrotaan myös valokuvauksen historiasta sekä annetaan esimerkkejä siitä, miten suomalaiset taiteilijat suhtautuivat valokuvauksen tuomiin etuihin taideteosten sommittelussa. Lisäksi selvitetään, miten yleistä valokuvien hyödyntäminen taiteen teossa on ollut. Tutkimuksen keskeinen kohdehenkilö on Tampereen ensimmäinen ammattitaiteilija Kaarlo Vuori. We analyze three environmentally conscious works that are concerned with the state of Finnish forests: the documentary film Metsän tarina/Tale of a Forest (2012), the book with the same name (2013) and the series of short documentaries Tarinoita metsästä/Tales from the Forest (2013). By combining methods from arts research and ecology, we ask how the narratives adapt material from nature photography. The film and book present mythic stories and old Finnish beliefs about forests. This chapter discusses participant-induced elicitation interview (PIE) in the light of two fieldwork cases focusing on Finnish lifestyle blogging and older adults as ICT users. By definition, elicitation refers to a process where something, such as a response, meaning, or answer, is evoked in or drawn out from an interviewee. PIE is based on photo-elicitation, where the interviewee is asked to take photographs dealing with the topics of the research. Sharing photographs and photo-chatting are common practices in doing family at a distance. This study looks at the processes of the production and circulation of photographs within the family network, analysing participants’ narratives about their image-based communication in WhatsApp. The data was collected as an ethnographic enquiry into the digitally mediated (transnational) family communication of five Polish women and their children living in Finland.
