La evaluación de la producción científica: breve análisis crítico

[EN] A historic review (fundamentally centered in Spain, but with multiple references to other international fields) of the evaluation process of scientific production has been carried out, mainly of periodicals. Available alternatives have also been analyzed after a turbulent period that has seen varied instruments for journal revision disappear. Finally, some of the tendencies and necessities in the field of scientific publication evaluation that will presumably mark the future development of future instruments and procedures are identified.

Public Administrations have suffered a sort of changes based in changing context and uncertainty. So, traditional Weberian bureaucracy has been adapting itself, embracing new values and tools. In this way, the City Hall of Torrent has developed the strategy called Torrent INNOVA. It was framed inside a quality management system named EVAM framework. Thereby, citizen’s charts are an important instrument in order to manage local context and apply new public administrative innovations.
Median vs. Mean in Poverty Alleviation

When evaluating poverty, the relative poverty line may be taken as a percentage of either normalized median or normalized mean income. It is proved that, for any family of non-intersecting Lorenz curves, when the poverty line is set relative to the normalized median income, reducing poverty become less costly in proportion to the total income when inequality is great and increasing; a counter-example proves that such a change may be associated with greater poverty. However, when the poverty line is set relative to the normalized mean income, the relative cost of poverty alleviation always increases with inequality and poverty, as expected. Percepción social sobre la gestión de residuos urbanos: el caso del municipio de Puçol (Valencia)

El presente estudio analiza la situación de la gestión de los residuos y la problemática medioambiental del municipio de Puçol (Valencia) a partir del análisis estadístico multivariante de datos de una encuesta sociológica. Se ponen de manifiesto los siguientes aspectos: a) El porcentaje de población que recicla correctamente todo tipo de residuos es únicamente del 8,93% y el porcentaje de personas que reciclan algún tipo de residuo es del 60,97%; b) tener un alto nivel de estudios y el hecho de disponer de contenedores cercanos conlleva que, de forma significativa, se recicle más y mejor; c) el contenedor de plásticos, bricks y latas no es utilizado apropiadamente, dado que más del 70% de …

Este trabajo tiene como principal objetivo analizar los elementos de la particular estructura de gobierno de la empresa familiar y la implicación de la familia en el negocio con tal de comprobar sus efectos sobre las capacidades directivas. Asimismo, se estudiará la profesionalización en este tipo de empresas como variable moderadora. Para abordar este análisis, se tomarán como base el Enfoque Basado en Recursos y Capacidades y la Teoría de la Agencia. The legal configuration of kinship ties in immigration law is governed by a restrictive logic that combines a dependent and nuclear composition with mismatches in the concrete form of managing the distances, the dynamics and the times at origin and destination.
