Abstract Background Trabeculectomy is the most commonly performed glaucoma filtering surgery. The success of the outcome of an operation to reduce the intraocular pressure (IOP) is dependent on postoperative wound modulation by antimetabolite therapy and by flow regulation of the filtering bleb, which can be achieved by argon laser suture lysis. Methods and case report Postoperative IOP controls, examination of bleb formation and bleb massage can lead to the decision to perform up to four argon laser suture lyses in order to reduce IOP and enhance aqueous humor flow and bleb formation. Abstract Hemangiomas in infancy generally require a multidisciplinary approach. As a result of their natural course, usually with spontaneous involution, a “watch-and-wait” strategy often seems to be sufficient. Nevertheless, in periorbital hemangiomas not only cosmetic but also functional aspects may require an early intervention. Methods In our university hospital, an 8-week-old patient presented with a potential bilateral congenital cataract, iris atrophy, and iridocorneal contact in the left eye. Summary The exudative form of age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is the leading cause of blindness among people over 50 years of age in the western world. Intravitreal ranibizumab treatment of retinal angiomatous proliferation

. Purpose:  To determine the efficacy of intravitreal injections of ranibizumab in the treatment of retinal angiomatous proliferation (RAP) in neovascular age-related macular degeneration. Methods:  Retrospective, consecutive case series of 26 eyes (26 patients) treated with intravitreal injections of 0.5 mg ranibizumab for RAP.
