Wegen der Komplexitat der Nahrungsmittelallergie mussen die jeweiligen Karenzempfehlungen jedoch immer individuell erarbeitet werden. Hauttestungen haben einen zentralen Stellenwert in der Abklarung von Sensibilisierungen bei Nahrungsmittelallergien. Insbesondere der Pricktest stellt eine Routinemethode dar.
