A Grid Enabled Parallel Hybrid Genetic Algorithm for SPN

2004

This paper presents a combination of a parallel Genetic Algorithm (GA) and a local search methodology for the Steiner Problem in Networks (SPN). Several previous papers have proposed the adoption of GAs and others metaheuristics to solve the SPN demonstrating the validity of their approaches. This work differs from them for two main reasons: the dimension and the features of the networks adopted in the experiments and the aim from which it has been originated. The reason that aimed this work was namely to assess deterministic and computationally inexpensive algorithms which can be used in practical engineering applications, such as the multicast transmission in the Internet. The large dimen…

ChemInform Abstract: Polycondensed Nitrogen Heterocycles. Part 17. Isoxazolo(4,3-d)pyrazolo-(3,4-f)(1,2,3)triazepine. A New Ring System.

1988

The title compounds were prepared by nitration of compounds 2, reduction of the dinitro derivatives 4 and diazotization of the diamino derivatives 6 followed by an intramolecular coupling reaction. Compound 4a showed good activity against Salmonella cholerasuis and Clostridium perfringens bacteria.

A new approach to partial discharge detection under DC voltage

2018

The continuing development of HVDC power transmission systems presents many problems related to evaluation of the reliability of power system assets [1]-[5]. In this context the identification of insulation defects plays a key role in preventing unexpected failures of electrical components. Partial discharge (PD) measurement is a useful approach to assessing the condition of HV power apparatus and cables. Such measurements are also widely employed for HVAC systems. The inception mechanisms of PD in AC systems are well-known, and measurements are usually performed following the IEC 60270 standard [6]. PD measurements under DC voltage present complexities related to the nature of the phenomen…
