A Longitudinal Study of the Effects of Service-Learning on Physical Education Teacher Education Students

Research examining Service-Learning (SL) in Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) is ample. However, long-term investigations are still scarce and literature demands the application of this type of design to uncover the effects of SL on the long run. This study followed a longitudinal quantitative approach; thus, the participants completed the Civic Attitudes and Skills Questionnaire (CASQ) in three occasions (pretest-postest1-postest2). Development and validation of a scale to assess social entrepreneurship competency in Higher Education

This paper proposes an instrument to assess social entrepreneurship competency in higher education (SECS). 19 Features of social entrepreneurship competency were identified. The pilot test (n = 497) confirmed the validity and reliability of the SECS. Exploratory factor analysis proposed a set of categories consistent with the initial approach. Confirmatory factor analysis showed acceptable relationships among the scale categories and items, while the fit indices suggested that the data fit adequately to the default model. Este documento presenta la experiencia de aprendizaje servicio (ApS) realizada durante el curso 2013-14 en el Grado de Maestro/a de Educación Infantil en la Universitat Jaume I (Castellón, España). En ella el alumnado universitario debía planificar y realizar sesiones de juegos motrices y de expresión corporal para niños y niñas con diversidad funcional.
