Intensive aquaculture conditions expose fish to bacterial infections, leading to significant financial losses, extensive antibiotic use and risk of antibiotic resistance in target bacteria. Flavobacterium columnare causes columnaris disease in aquaculture worldwide. To develop a bacteriophage-based control of columnaris disease, we isolated and characterized 126 F. columnare strains and 63 phages against F. columnare from Finland and Sweden in 2017. Rainfall behavior is a fundamental issue in areas with scarce and irregular amounts, such as the Spanish Mediterranean region. We identified 12 spatial patterns that characterized 899 torrential precipitation events (≥150 mm in 24 h) that occurred in the 3,537 rainy precipitation series in the period 1950–2020. Three of these components––eastern and ESE––showed positive and significant trends in their accumulated volumes. We then characterized the mean synoptic causes of the 10 most intense events in each component at both mean sea-level pressure and 500 hPa geopotential height, and also the integrated water-vapor transport between 1,000 and 300 hPa. Pētījuma mērķis ir radīt pārskatu par piekrastes valsts jurisdikcijas apmēru prettiesiskas zvejas gadījumos atklātajā jūrā. Maģistra darbā apskatīti starptautiskie tiesību akti, paražu tiesības, vispārējie starptautisko tiesību principi, kā arī starptautisko tiesu prakse un starpvalstu strīdi saistībā ar prettiesiskas zvejas gadījumiem. Īpaša uzmanība ir pievērsta ANO Jūras tiesību konvencijas 116. pantā noteiktās zvejas tiesību brīvības atklātajā jūrā ierobežošanai jūras vides aizsardzības un saglabāšanas kontekstā. Darbā izdarīts secinājums, ka visnozīmīgākais faktors vienotas jurisdikcijas izveidei atklātajā jūrā ir valstu savstarpējā sadarbība.

How might music teachers help their students cope with the anxiety-provoking aspects of public performance? This article aims to provide some elements to answer this question. It is important to consider that public performance is one of the main aspects of musical practice from the start of the learning process. Given the high prevalence of music performance anxiety—MPA among musicians of all levels and ages, the teacher has an important role. Based on a literature review, the sources of MPA are analyzed and, for each of them, strategies that could be used by a music teacher are indicated. Emphasis is placed on prevention and on the importance of raising music teachers’ awareness of MPA.

In March and April 2021 several countries temporarily suspended vaccinations with adenoviral vector-based COVID-19 vaccines. Concerns of national regulators particularly regarded very rare cases of cerebral venous sinus thrombosis after immunization with this type of vaccine. Until now, these adverse events were interpreted as standard hypercoagulable events, but their clinical characteristics suggest that they may actually represent unique thrombotic disorders referred to as immunothrombosis. RTTP is a series of role playing games developed for American colleges and universities. Our thesis is split into three research questions, examining how to adapt a game for use in lower secondary school.
