Artykuł poświęcony jest omówieniu Google Books, dostępnej przez Internet biblioteki wirtualnej, obejmującej skany 30 milionów książek. Jest to aktualnie najbogatsze na świecie źródło danych tekstowych w postaci cyfrowej. Zbiory Google Books można nazwać korpusem, ale zasadniczo różnią się one od tradycyjnych korpusów językowych. Kłopoty klasyfikacyjne wynikają z konkretnych ograniczeń, z jakimi trzeba się zmierzyć w trakcie badań. Inside the project “Piano per la Produzione di Proteine Vegetali in Sicilia” investigations were carried out to characterize a bean population cultivated in the Parco delle Madonie area, the ‘Fagiolo Badda di Polizzi’. The producers’ interest for this landrace and the appreciation of the consumers could justify the start up of a valorization program through a product certification. Researches on the morpho-physiological aspects and on the nutritional profile were made in trials conducted between 2005 and 2007. The main aim of this paper is to consider from different points of view the thesis of a conservative character of Peirce’s thought. The paper consists of two parts. In the first part, arguments for Peirce’s conservatism are presented. They are of two kinds: inner ones (Peirce’s own declarations) and outer ones (a comparison of Peirce’s view o the views of two other classical pragmatists: James and Dewey). Intervālās badošanās uztura režīms ir relatīvi jauna pieeja svara samazināšanai lai uzlabotu ķermeņa audu kompozīciju un vispārējo veselību. Intervālās badošanās diētās pamatā ir kaloriju uzņemšanas periodu kontrole, nevis kaloriju daudzums. Šajā pētījumā tika salīdzināti divi intervālās badošanās diētu modeļi - laikā ierobežoto un noteikto dienu badošanās modeļi. Tika novērtēta iepriekšminēto modeļu ietekme uz antropometriskiem parametriem, ķermeņa audu kompozīciju un asins plazmas bioķīmisko parametru izmaiņām pirms un pēc uztura režīma ievērošanas. Komentowane orzeczenie dotyczy możliwości miarkowania kary umownej po tym, jak została ona zapłacona przez dłużnika z zastrzeżeniem zwrotu. Główny problem w sprawie stanowiło to, czy powód może skutecznie wystąpić z odrębnym powództwem o zwrot części zapłaconej już pozwanemu kary. Istota postępowania sprowadzała się do określenia formy i momentu wystąpienia przez dłużnika z żądaniem miarkowania kary umownej. Sąd zgodził się z tezą, że do miarkowania może dojść na skutek powództwa wytoczonego przez dłużnika. Natomiast przyjął kontrowersyjne stanowisko, które zostało poddane w niniejszej glosie krytyce, że do miarkowania nie może dojść po tym, jak kara została zapłacona

Intermitēta uztura režīma un fizisku vingrinājumu ietekme uz ķermeņa audu kompozīciju sievietēm

Inermitētā badošanās pēdējā desmitgadē kļūst arvien populārāka un tiek pielietota kā viena no metodēm ķermeņa svara regulācijā. Ķermeņa svara un tauku masas regulācijas pasākumi gan pasaulē, gan Latvijā kļūst arvien aktuālāki, jo palielinās to cilvēku skaits, kas cieš no pārmērīgas tauku masas uzkrāšanās un ar to saistītām kardio-metabolajām un skeleta saslimšanām. Darba mērķis bija novērtēt, kura no metodēm - uztura režīma korekcija, mērķtiecīgi, regulāri fiziski vingrinājumi vai abu iepriekšējo metožu apvienošana, rada izteiktākas labvēlīgās izmaiņas ķermeņa audu kompozīcijā. Pētījumā piedalījās 25 sievietes vecumā no 35 - 50 gadiem. Viņas veidoja trīs pētījuma grupas, ar atšķirīgu pētīju…
