To compare stereotypes towards older workers between hospital staff in Germany and Latvia and to analyse the relationship between those stereotypes and self-efficacy, subjective work ability and irritation.Cross-sectional study.In 2018, hospital staff, including nurses, physicians and other professions, of two German and three Latvian hospitals were asked to complete the standardized study questionnaire on subjective work ability, occupational self-efficacy, irritation and stereotypes towards older workers. Abstract We present a compact model for the DC and small signal AC analysis of Organic Thin Film Transistors (OTFTs). The DC part of the model assumes that the electrical current injected in the OTFT is limited by the presence of a metal/organic semiconductor junction that, at source, acts as a reverse biased Schottky junction. By including this junction, modeled as a reverse biased gated diode at source, the DC model is able to reproduce the scaling of the electrical characteristics even for short channel devices. Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis for the discrimination of Oenococcus oeni isolates from different wine-growing regions in Germany

Reliable techniques are needed for the identification individual Oenococcus oeni strains with desirable flavor characteristics and to monitor the survival and contribution of inoculated and indigenous bacteria. Therefore, we investigated the suitability of pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE) for the discrimination of 65 O. oeni isolates from six different wine-producing regions in Germany. Among the restriction enzymes tested, genomic DNA digestions with Sfi I were most effective by displaying 56 (86%) different banding profiles. Selective Sacral Nerve Blockade for the Treatment of Unstable Bladders

38 patients with severe urge or urge incontinence, who did not respond to conservative therapy, were treated with selective sacral nerve blockade using a local anesthetic (bupivacaine). 6 patients of this group had definite selective sacral denervation with phenol. In 31 patients a urodynamic study was done previous to the sacral nerve block as well as 10 and 90 min after the injection. Within the first 2-7 weeks the success rate was about 70% in regard to bladder capacity and mean volume at first desire to void. On long-term follow-up (greater than 7 months), the success rate decreased to about 16%. Only 1 patient of the phenol group still has complete detrusor areflexia for now more than …
