The relationship between body weight and smoking is partly explained by the effect of nicotine on appetite and metabolism. Varhaiskasvatuksen työelämässä on ajankohtainen tarve koulutetuille varhaiskasvatuksen opettajille. Varhaiskasvatuksen opettajia koulutetaan vielä tällä hetkellä sekä yliopistoissa että ammattikorkeakouluissa. Vastavalmistuvilla varhaiskasvatuksen opettajilla on todettu olevan haasteita työelämään sitoutumisessa. Sitoutumista heikentää esimerkiksi epävarmuus oman osaamisen riittävyydestä opettajan työhön. Bakalaura darbs ir uzrakstīts latviešu valodā uz 35 lapaspusēm. Tas satur 20 attēlus, 4 tabulas, un 39 atsauces uz literatūras avotiem. Mērķis: Salīdzināt radzenes parametrus dalībniekiem dažādās vecuma grupās. Metode: Tika veikti radzenes biezuma un radzenes epitēlija biezuma mērījumi 6 mm diametrā, izmantojot optiskās koherences tomogrāfu Topcon Maestro 3D. Mērījumu preciziātes salīdzināšanai radzenes centrālais biezums tika mērīts ar bezkontakta optisko pahimetru Topcon TRK-1P. Rezultāti: Radzenes biezums ir atšķirīgs centrā un virzienā uz perifēriju. Epigenetic siRNA and Chemical Screens Identify SETD8 Inhibition as a Therapeutic Strategy for p53 Activation in High-Risk Neuroblastoma

Given the paucity of druggable mutations in high-risk neuroblastoma (NB), we undertook chromatin-focused small interfering RNA and chemical screens to uncover epigenetic regulators critical for the differentiation block in high-risk NB. High-content Opera imaging identified 53 genes whose loss of expression led to a decrease in NB cell proliferation and 16 also induced differentiation. From these, the secondary chemical screen identified SETD8, the H4K20me1 methyltransferase, as a druggable NB target. Functional studies revealed that SETD8 ablation rescued the pro-apoptotic and cell-cycle arrest functions of p53 by decreasing p53K382me1, leading to activation of the p53 canonical pathway. I…

Different data indicate that psychological and/or emotional disorders may play an important role in the natural history of heart diseases. Although the major evidence is that related to depression, epidemiological data would indicate that anxiety and panic disorders are highly represented in cardiac patient, thus influencing mortality and morbidity.
