Abstract The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) is a ligand-dependent transcription factor whose activity is modulated by xenobiotics as well as physiological ligands. These compounds may modulate inflammatory responses and contribute to the rising prevalence of allergic diseases observed in industrialized countries. Mast cells (MCs), located within tissues at the boundary of the external environment, represent a potential target of AhR ligands. Titanium Complexes Stabilized by a Sulfur‐Bridged Chelating Bis(aryloxo) Ligand as Active Catalysts for Olefin Polymerization

The mixed-ligand complexes [Ti2(μ-OR)2(OR)2(κ3-tbop)2] (1a) for R = Me and (1b) R = Et were prepared by the reaction of Ti(OR)4 and H2tbop {H2tbop = 2,2′-thiobis[4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)phenol]} in methanol. Treatment of 1a and 1b with AlMe3 led to the substitution of terminal alkoxy groups to create the organometallic compounds [Ti2(μ-OR)2(κ3-tbop)2(Me)2] (2a) for R = Me and (2b) for R = Et. Controlled hydrolysis of 2b causes the evolution of methane and the formation of the titanoxane compounds [{Ti2(μ-OEt)2(κ3-tbop)2}2(μ-O)2]·2CH2Cl2 (3). Titanium Complexes of Chelating, Dianionic O,S,O‐Bisphenolato Ligands: Syntheses, Characterisation, and Catalytic Activity

Titanium complexes based on 2,2'-thiobis[4-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)phenolato] (tbop) are prepared by reaction of TiCl 4 or Ti(NMe 2 ) 4 with the parent biphenol. Three new complexes are reported: [Ti 2 (μ-tbop-κ 3 O,S,O)(μ-tbop-κ 2 O,O)-(tbop-κ 3 O,S,O)Cl 2 ] (1).2CH 3 CN, [Ti 2 (μ-tbop-κ 3 O,S,O) 2 Cl 4 ] (2) and [Ti(tbop-κ 3 O,S,O) 2 ] (3). Push‐Pull Design of Bis(tridentate) Ruthenium(II) Polypyridine Chromophores as Deep Red Light Emitters in Light‐Emitting Electrochemical Cells

Light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs) with a simple device structure were prepared by using heteroleptic bis(tridentate) ruthenium(II) complexes [1](PF6)(2)-[3](PF6)(2) as emitters. The push-pull substitution shifts the emission energy to low energy, into the NIR region. The devices emit deep red light up to a maximum emission wavelength of 755 nm [CIE (International Commission on Illumination) coordinates: x = 0.731, y = 0.269 for [3](PF6)(2)], which, to the best of our knowledge, is the lowest emission energy for LECs containing bis(tridentate) ruthenium(II) complexes. Distinct photodynamics of κ-N and κ-C pseudoisomeric iron(ii) complexes

Two closely related FeII complexes with 2,6-bis(1-ethyl-1H-1,2,3-triazol-4yl)pyridine and 2,6-bis(1,2,3-triazol-5-ylidene)pyridine ligands are presented to gain new insights into the photophysics of bis(tridentate) iron(II) complexes. The [Fe(N^N^N)2]2+ pseudoisomer sensitizes singlet oxygen through a MC state with nanosecond lifetime after MLCT excitation, while the bis(tridentate) [Fe(C^N^C)2]2+ pseudoisomer possesses a similar 3MLCT lifetime as the tris(bidentate) [Fe(C^C)2(N^N)]2+ complexes with four mesoionic carbenes. Cyanido-Bridged FeII-MI Dimetallic Hofmann-Like Spin-Crossover Coordination Polymers Based on 2,6-Naphthyridine

[EN] Two new 3D spin-crossover (SCO) Hofmann-type coordination polymers {Fe(2,6-naphthy)[Ag(CN)2][Ag2(CN)3]} (1; 2,6-naphthy = 2,6-naphthyridine) and {Fe(2,6-naphthy)- [Au(CN)2]2}·0.5PhNO2 (2) were synthesized and characterized. Both derivatives are made up of infinite stacks of {Fe[Ag(CN)2]2- [Ag2(CN)3]}n and {Fe[Au(CN)2]2}n layered grids connected by pillars of 2,6-naphthy ligands coordinated to the axial positions of the FeII centers of alternate layers.

Dacarbazine mediate antimelanoma effects via NK cells.

International audience; Melanoma is a highly chemoresistant and metastatic tumor that, in the absence of BRAF mutations, is generally treated with the alkylating agent dacarbazine (DTIC). We discovered that DTIC upregulates the expression of NKG2D ligands on tumor cells, leading to the activation of natural killer (NK) and CD8(+) T cells. These observations underscore the immunogenic properties of DTIC and provide a rationale to combine DTIC with immunotherapeutic agents.

Coumarin-Phosphine-Based Smart Probes for Tracking Biologically Relevant Metal Complexes: From Theoretical to Biological Investigations

International audience; Ten metal-based complexes and associated ligands have been synthesized and characterized. One of the metal ligands is a coumarin-phosphine derivative, which displays tunable fluorescence properties. The fluorescence is quenched in the case of the free ligand and ruthenium and osmium complexes, whereas it is strong for the gold complexes and phosphonium derivatives. These trends were rationalized by theoretical calculations, which revealed non-radiative channels involving a dark state for the free ligands that is lower in energy than the emissive state and is responsible for the quenching of fluorescence. Efficient synthesis of new C-functionalized macrocyclic polyamines

A powerful synthetic route for the preparation of new poly-azamacrocycles, valuable precursors of bifunctional chelating agents with applications in nuclear medicine, is reported. The desired functional group was introduced onto the macro-cycle backbone during the cyclization step, thus avoiding the tedious preparation of a C-functionalized synthon. The regioselective reaction of macrocycles bearing an aminomethyl pendant arm with aldehydes is also described.
