Il Dictionnaire de la langue franque ou petit mauresque è il documento più ampio di cui disponiamo per ricostruire il lessico e le strutture della lingua franca del Mediterraneo a un’altezza cronologica che vede questo codice (usato per molti secoli sulle sponde del Mare Nostrum per scopi prevalentemente commerciali e diplomatici) quasi al suo tramonto. A survey was carried out during two years with 1500 pupils at the beginning of the secondary school. It consists to assess the results of the pupils in English language : some of them were initiated to English in the Primary school. The results of the research allow to describe some factors which influence pupil's acquisitions in English language and to assess the effects of the "early" initiation : in fact, these seem to be very slight.
Production of written French skills by first generation immigrants in working age

This paper aims to identify factors explaining the level of proficiency in written French by immigrants in working age, knowing that few research has been conducted in France on this issue. The originality of this paper is the stochastic production frontier model to explain the scores in written French and the productive performance of immigrants (considered as producers of their own skills). The main results show that mother tongue, age at immigration, social life and mother's diploma are elements which influence the effectiveness of this production. Le Vignaud 3, Chemin du Puits Neuf (Langlade, Gard) : du Fontbouisse au Campaniforme : premiers résultats

Excavations at the site of Le Vignaud 3, Langlade, situated at the heart of the Vaunage, have revealed a settlement constructed in dry stone which fits perfectly within the local Fontbouisse tradition (as exemplified at Boussargues, Le Rocher-du-Causse, etc.). As well as being of architectural interest, particularly in relation to the internal organisation of enclosed sites, the site also produced a large number of finds (pottery, lithics, animal bones, etc.) which provide evidence of Fontbouisse culture and Bell Beaker occupation.
