Drivers-Inspired Ants for Solving the Vehicle Routing Problem with Time Windows
2016
International audience; In our study, we develop a method that merges two information sources within ants colony optimization heuristic. Namely artificial ants which occurs for short term optimization and transporter's vehicles that occurs in long term and continuous optimization toward solving the real-world vehicle routing problem. This study is supported by a transporter (Upsilon) of the region of l'Yonne in France and a transport and logistics software development company (Tedies). Our method suits for transporters that use human planners to make decisions about their tours and intending to move to computer planners without drastically upsetting the drivers habits. Hence, the pledge of …
A Symplectic Kovacic's Algorithm in Dimension 4
2018
Let $L$ be a $4$th order differential operator with coefficients in $\mathbb{K}(z)$, with $\mathbb{K}$ a computable algebraically closed field. The operator $L$ is called symplectic when up to rational gauge transformation, the fundamental matrix of solutions $X$ satisfies $X^t J X=J$ where $J$ is the standard symplectic matrix. It is called projectively symplectic when it is projectively equivalent to a symplectic operator. We design an algorithm to test if $L$ is projectively symplectic. Furthermore, based on Kovacic's algorithm, we design an algorithm that computes Liouvillian solutions of projectively symplectic operators of order $4$. Moreover, using Klein's Theorem, algebraic solution…

Inhomogeneous speed effects on H-2 vibrational line profiles in ternary mixtures
2000
International audience; A study of speed inhomogeneous broadening of the hydrogen vibrational line profiles in the collisional regime for ternary mixtures is reported. The Q(1) line of H-2 in H-2-Ar-N-2, H-2-He-Ar, and H-2-He-N-2 mixtures is investigated by high resolution stimulated Raman spectroscopy for various concentrations and temperatures. A model, successfully used for binary mixtures, is extended to ternary mixtures. An excellent agreement is obtained between theory and experiment for H-2-Ar-N-2, by using the collisional parameters previously obtained from binary mixtures study. For H-2-He-Ar and H-2-He-N-2, H-2-He collisions play a "hardening" effect in the H-2 soft speed memory m…
H-2 vibrational spectral signatures in binary and ternary mixtures: theoretical model, simulation and application to CARS thermometry in high pressur…
2001
International audience; A summary of the main results obtained by the two groups in the field of H-2 vibrational spectral line signatures for various mixtures. in connection with CARS diagnostics of H-2-O-2 combustion systems, is presented. H-2-X Systems may have specific large inhomogeneous spectral features, due to the dependence of the line broadening and line shifting on the (H-2) radiator speed, particularly at high temperature. Thus, careful attention has to be paid to rigorously analyze such features, both from the experimental point of view (Dijon) and from the theoretical one (Besancon). Applications of the present results to high-pressure H-2/air flame thermometry are also briefly…
Modeling small‐scale cassava starch extraction. Simulation of the reduction of water consumption through a recycling process
2010
International audience; The purpose of this study was to model the extraction unit operation of the cassava starch manufacturing process and to propose a realistic recycling simulation in order to reduce the volumes of effluents. The model was developed from reactors which are commonly used for cassava starch extraction at a household scale in Vietnam. The reactors were tested using inflow starch as a marker at the beginning of the batch process. The experimental residence time distribution (RTDexp) was calculated by the outflow of the starch concentration. Using Matlab®, the RTDexp was compared to the theoretical residence time distribution (RTDth). The dynamic model obtained was built up …
Identification and diagnosis of patients with familial chylomicronaemia syndrome (FCS): Expert panel recommendations and proposal of an "FCS score".
2018
Familial chylomicronaemia syndrome (FCS) is a rare, inherited disorder characterised by impaired clearance of triglyceride (TG)-rich lipoproteins from plasma, leading to severe hypertriglyceridaemia (HTG) and a markedly increased risk of acute pancreatitis. It is due to the lack of lipoprotein lipase (LPL) function, resulting from recessive loss of function mutations in the genes coding LPL or its modulators. A large overlap in the phenotype between FCS and multifactorial chylomicronaemia syndrome (MCS) contributes to the inconsistency in how patients are diagnosed and managed worldwide, whereas the incidence of acute hypertriglyceridaemic pancreatitis is more frequent in FCS. A panel of Eu…
Les migrations des basketteurs professionnels en Europe
2010
Comparison of RK and confidence judgement ROCs in recognition memory.
2011
author cannot archive publisher's version/PDF; International audience; Several indicators have been used to differentiate familiarity and recollection processes. One dualist theory stipulates that it is possible to decide whether memories come from a feeling of knowing or from a conscious retrieval of the encoding and storage conditions (remembering). Another dualist theory is based on an indirect estimation of familiarity and recollection via the subjective confidence associated with recognition responses, and from an analysis of the derived receiver operating characteristics (ROC). In the present study, participants were presented with target words or faces that they subsequently had to r…
Developing a framework for designing humanitarian blockchain projects
2021
International audience; Blockchain technology promises to improve the efficiency, transparency, and accountability of humanitarian operations. Yet at the same time, especially the humanitarian context with its characteristic volatility poses unique challenges to any technology. Most prominent are the humanitarian principles that are fundamental to humanitarian operations. These ethical principles are set to protect the most vulnerable populations. Designing blockchain projects in the humanitarian context therefore requires a systematic framework that helps humanitarians make critical choices. While some design instructions can be found for commercial applications, the humanitarian context re…
