Reading skills are more and more required to succeed professional examination. French crane drivers are concerned with this problem. In order to help them, we have conducted a study with three main steps. First, we carried out a cognitive work analysis. Second, we test several analogical modalities of written presentations focusing on the construction of a specific simulator. Finally, two experiments are presented showing a significative effect of this simulator on the comprehension of cranes technical documentation.

This research focused on factors associated with schizophrenia as well as on the feasibility and effectiveness of group metacognitive training (MCT) in schizophrenia patients with a history of violence in a high-security forensic hospital setting. One of the aims was to scrutinize reasoning ability in regards to jumping to conclusions (JTC) cognitive bias and the expression of cognitive insight (insight into one’s own thinking), a metacognitive ability. A case formulation model for the assessment of psychological problems among deafblind persons

In order to describe and understand possible problems associated with deafblindness we applied a functional analysis case formulation strategy and Functional Analytic Clinical Case Diagrams (FACCD). We collected clinical assessment data from deafblind persons who were experiencing multiple psychological problems as reported by their healthcare professionals. The data were collected after the healthcare professionals were trained in functional analyses and in applying FACCD.
