Nudging to prevent the purchase of incompatible digital products online: An experimental study.

Ensuring safe and satisfactory online shopping activity, especially among vulnerable consumers such as elderly and less educated citizens, is part of a larger set of consumer policy objectives seeking to strengthen trust in the electronic marketplace. This article contributes to that goal by testing the effectiveness of nudges intended to prevent the purchase of 'incompatible' digital products (i.e., those which cannot be used with the devices owned by consumers or the systems they operate). Les followers ont-ils vraiment de l'importance dans le modèle de Stackelberg?

In this paper, we consider a T-stage linear model of Stackelberg oligopoly. First, we show geometrically and analytically that under the two conditions of linear market demand and identical constant marginal costs, the T-stage Stackelberg model reduces to a model where T oligopolies exploit residual demand sequentially. At any stage, leaders behave as if followers did not matter. Second, we study social welfare and convergence toward competitive equilibrium. Especially, we consider the velocity of convergence as the number of firms increases. The convergence is faster when reallocating firms from the most to the less populated cohort until equalizing the size of all cohorts.

We propose an interactive method for decision making under uncertainty, where uncertainty is related to the lack of understanding about consequences of actions. A new preference handling technique for interactive multiobjective optimization without trading-off

Because the purpose of multiobjective optimization methods is to optimize conflicting objectives simultaneously, they mainly focus on Pareto optimal solutions, where improvement with respect to some objective is only possible by allowing some other objective(s) to impair. Bringing this idea into practice requires the decision maker to think in terms of trading-off, which may limit the ability of effective problem solving. Experiments with classification-based scalarizing functions in interactive multiobjective optimization

In multiobjective optimization methods, the multiple conflicting objectives are typically converted into a single objective optimization problem with the help of scalarizing functions and such functions may be constructed in many ways.
