El lèxic tècnic a la traducció catalana de l?Opus agriculturae de Pal·ladi : una aproximació als llibres de 'grammàtica' i 'medicina'

2017

In 1385 Ferrer Saiol, protonotary of Queen Eleanor of Sicily, translated into Catalan Palladius’s Opus Agriculturae (‘The Work on Farming’). This Latin work was widely known throughout the whole of the Middle Ages, and therefore a translation of Opus Agriculturae was wanted in the fourteenth-century's Kingdom of Aragon. A difficult aspect of Opus  Agriculturae is its technical vocabulary. Being aware of it, Ferrer Saiol referred in his translation to his use of numerous reference books to undertake the best possible version. These medieval glossaries and vocabularies belong in his translation, explicitly as well as implicitly. We identify here books that Ferrer Saiol used for this version, …

Terminología y traducción económica francés-español: evaluación de recursos terminológicos en el ámbito contable

2014

The aim of this paper is to evaluate a series of terminology resources and determine their suitability to the practice of French-Spanish translation of accounting documents. First we identify the terminology needs of a specific group of translator trainees when facing business translation, as well as the resources they use particularly when translating annual accounts. Then, we select various terminology resources used in this context and evaluate them according to their needs. The results suggest the development of a French-Spanish dictionary of accounting terms adapted to the terminology needs of the practice of translation in this area.

Medicīniskās terminoloģijas mācīšana augstskolas līmenī

2016

Šī maģistra darba mērķis ir izpētīt veiksmīgākos medicīniskās terminoloģijas pasniegšanas metodes augstskolas līmeņa studentiem. Izmantojot triangulācijas metodi, autore analizēja augstskolas pasniedzēju, praktizējošo fizioterapeitu un studentu viedokļus par fizioterapijas specialitātes medicīniskās terminoloģijas atlasi un mācīšanas veidiem. Teorētiskajā daļā autore apskata dažādas terminoloģijas mācīšanas klasifikācijas un medicīniskā diskursa īpatnības. Apkopojot praktiskās daļas rezultātus, darba autore secinaja, ka veiksmīgākie medicīniskās terminoloģijas pasniegšanas paņēmieni ir priedēkļu un piedēkļu mācīšana, vārdu atpazīšana no konteksta, mnemoniskie uzdevumi, asociāciju veidošana …

Noziedzīgus ekonomiskos nodarījumus apzīmējošo angļu valodas terminu latviešu valodas atbilsmju analīze

2022

Sepsis in head and neck cancer patients treated with chemotherapy and radiation: literature review and consensus

2015

Abstract: The reporting of infection/sepsis in chemo/radiation-treated head and neck cancer patients is sparse and the problem is underestimated. A multidisciplinary group of head and neck cancer specialists from Italy met with the aim of reaching a consensus on a clinical definition and management of infections and sepsis. The Delphi appropriateness method was used for this consensus. External expert reviewers then evaluated the conclusions carefully according to their area of expertise. The paper contains seven clusters of statements about the clinical definition and management of infections and sepsis in head and neck cancer patients, which had a consensus. Furthermore, it offers a revie…
