The study subject are Polish translations of the French structure NP1 + voir + NP2 + infinitive; we reject cases where the NP1 is represented by the pronoun on, and concentrate on translations in which the infinitive is not rendered. The analysis is based on the corpus of texts embracing 58 pairs of examples, each of which contains a French sentence with the investigated construction and a Polish sentence with its equivalent. Our aim is to identify factors which make translators erase the French infinitive. Over recent years, internet TV series have grown in popularity to become one of the audiovisual products with the highest audiences worldwide. The Covid crisis, with limitations on movement, has further increased their success during 2020-21. Finnish is one of the few existent Finno-Ugric languages, a language without articles, and with only one, genderless word for the pronouns “she” and “he”. Due to this, the problems faced by the Finnish translators of The Second Sex differed in some ways from those discussed after the publication of the new English translation. This chapter describes the genesis of the second, unabridged Finnish translation, the choices made by the translators as well as the philosophical interpretations motivating those choices. Tutkielman tavoite oli selvittää teknisen tekstin kääntämisessä esiintyviä käännösongelmia ja prosessin yleistä luonnetta. Aineistona käytettiin lehtitalojen käyttöön tarkoitetun jakeluohjelmiston suomenkielistä käyttöopasta, siitä itse tehtyjä käännöksiä englanniksi, sekä kääntämisen ohella kirjoitettua käännöspäiväkirjaa. Käännökset tehtiin osana kääntäjäharjoittelua ja ne tulivat kaupalliseen käyttöön.
