Errors d?edició : dels manuscrits als diccionaris. Exemples de textos mèdics medievals (Hipòcrates, Arnau de Vilanova, Bernat de Gordon, misser Joan)

2017

The commonly used Catalan lexicons (DCVB, DECLC, the vocabulary of Lluis Faraudo de Saint-Germain) collect words and give them meaning from ancient editions of texts. Lexicographers’ performance had its own logic: they used the documentary sources they had at their disposal when they set up to write their works. The advances in philological research (new critical editions, new sources of information) allow us to refine results and detect errors that occurred in old editions and went into dictionaries. Wrong lexemes were included, as well as incorrect or insufficient definitions. This article offers examples of it, out of four medical works. On the one hand, the Catalan translations of the R…

2020

Between the Transformacions of Francesc Alegre (c.1452 - c.1508) and the mythological proses of Joan Roís de Corella some textual coincidences have been detected. Not without reservations, these coincidences have been explained as Corellas influence on Alegre. This is the most satisfactory explanation, given Alegre’s admiration and imitation of Corella’s prose, and Corella’s huge fame in the second half of the fifteenth century. However, Alegre knew earlier versions of Ovid’s Metamorphoses, such as that by Francesc de Pinós (1416-1475), or the anonymous Castilian version, both nowadays lost. And perhaps these versions were known by Corella too. The textual coincidences of these two authors …

The aim of this article is to underline the importance of recover…

The panorama of the contemporary Italian reception of the Spanish poets of the 19th century through translations is not particularly satisfactory since it is necessary to wait for the following century to find the first monographic studies and editions of texts in translation although in anthological form. However as in the rest of Europe the corpus of periodicals of magazines offers a very profitable editorial channel for receiving foreign literary texts. This work focuses on the presence of Rosalía de Castro's work in the contemporary Italian press. At the same time attempts have been made to complete the study of the reception of the Galician poet in Italy collecting traces in other editorial products such as the book. The consequent analytical focus will correspond to the transnational study of some proto and meta texts individualized by their special interest.
