Performance evaluation of the MPE-iFEC Sliding RS Encoding for DVB-H streaming services

This article studies the performance of the Sliding RS Encoding (SRSE) in the transmission of streaming services in DVB-H (Digital Video Broadcasting - Transmission System for Handheld Terminals) networks. The SRSE forms part of a set of specifications called MPE-iFEC which has been recently defined in the DVB-SH (Digital Video Broadcasting - Satellite Services to Handheld Devices) standard and is fully compatible with the link layer of DVB-H. Cependant, pour chaque type de problème donné, il est nécessaire de choisir l'architecture optimale. Hidden Markov Random Fields (HMRF) provide powerful model. This latter models the segmentation problem as the minimization of an energy function. Cuckoo search (CS) algorithm is one of the recent nature-inspired meta-heuristic algorithms. It has shown its efficiency in many engineering optimization problems. 3D landmark detection for augmented reality based otologic procedures

International audience; Ear consists of the smallest bones in the human body and does not contain significant amount of distinct landmark points that may be used to register a preoperative CT-scan with the surgical video in an augmented reality framework. Learning based algorithms may be used to help the surgeons to identify landmark points. This paper presents a convolutional neural network approach to landmark detection in preoperative ear CT images and then discusses an augmented reality system that can be used to visualize the cochlear axis on an otologic surgical video.

Refitting solutions promoted by $\ell_{12}$ sparse analysis regularization with block penalties

International audience; In inverse problems, the use of an $\ell_{12}$ analysis regularizer induces a bias in the estimated solution. We propose a general refitting framework for removing this artifact while keeping information of interest contained in the biased solution. This is done through the use of refitting block penalties that only act on the co-support of the estimation. Based on an analysis of related works in the literature, we propose a new penalty that is well suited for refitting purposes.
