Resumen En el presente estudio se comprueba el papel mediador de la adaptabilidad a la carrera en la relacion existente entre la inteligencia emocional (IE) rasgo y el compromiso academico. La muestra comprende 590 estudiantes universitarios espanoles con una edad media de 21.66 anos. En los resultados se confirman las relaciones positivas entre la IE rasgo, la adaptabilidad a la carrera y el compromiso academico. The recent financial crisis has triggered an intense debate about the role of banks in society, presumably changing the criteria used in the evaluation of organizations. Against this backdrop, we investigate the changing role of banks’ organizational features in shaping different dimensions of banks’ organizational reputation. Using the media as an important evaluator, we measure the reputational dimension of visibility based on the frequency of newspaper articles and the reputational dimension of favorability based on the sentiment of newspaper articles. <div>El proceso de necesarias reformas de la educación científica en el que estamos inmersos desde hace algunas décadas tropieza con la dificultad de lograr una adecuada formación del profesorado. En este trabajo se intenta justificar que dichas dificultades proceden, en buena medida, de la aceptación acrítica de una serie de mitos bloqueadores. Con este fin, se analizan dichos mitos a la luz de la investigación en didáctica de las ciencias y se extraen algunas consecuencias para una mejor orientación de la formación de los profesores de ciencias de secundaria y universidad.</div><div> </div>

The network contract: some evaluations after the emergency. The debate over the Italian network contract develops in the phase of the heaviest crisis for Italians firms. This article evaluates limits and opportunities of network contracts. Findings are based on 14 network cases selected among declining or growing productive sectors in the context of two regions of the South: Apulia and Sicily. Formal networks, although initiated later than in the Northern regions, are indeed now widespread also in the South. The Impact of Lbos on Investment Policies and Operations of Acquired French Firms

This paper evaluates the extent that French LBO targets’ investment policy and operations can account for their overperformance discrepancy. Our empirical study has been carried out on 132 French LBOs between 1989 and 1994. The results show that the abnormal plunge in economic return cannot be explained by overinvestments or by inefficient working capital management. Nevertheless, abnormal increases in wages, supplies and/or sales price reductions appear to be prominent.
A Theoretical Framework for the Analysis of the Relationship Between Family Firms and Competitiveness

This chapter develops an additive model of the microeconomic sources of family firm (FF) competitiveness. Its main contribution is the proposal of a new explanatory framework with a perspective incorporating both ex post competitiveness and its determinants in a chain of multi-level causality. Based on fully-specified theory, the framework is designed to explain the complementarity of the effects of the firm's country, industry, district, strategy, and distinctive competences, focusing where appropriate on the case of the FF. La solvencia de las entidades de crédito españolas. Un análisis con datos de panel

Resumen Este trabajo estudia los determinantes que han influido en la solvencia de las entidades de credito espanolas. Se contrastan 8 hipotesis con datos obtenidos de las cuentas anuales de las entidades de credito que cubren desde el ano 2004 al 2011. Se utilizan 2 metodologias para el contraste de las hipotesis. Para las 6 primeras se utilizan modelos econometricos de datos de panel no balanceados. Entre los resultados se constata que la dependencia de los mercados mayoristas, la situacion socioeconomica que ha llevado al incremento de la morosidad y de los deterioros, contribuyen de forma negativa en la solvencia.
