International student mobility in Southern-Latin Europe: beyond the EU logics, towards a new space

This paper discusses international student mobility (ISM) in Southern-Latin Europe, specifically Italy, Portugal, and Spain, analysing the inflow of international students as reflected in the UNESCO, OECD and European Commission databases. Only recently Italy, Portugal and Spain, as latecomers, have become more actively involved in ISM dynamics. This trend has been a response to EU pressures to internationalization, instrumented through the consolidation of the Bologna process and the need to build a common space of higher education. A new approach to predict the fish fillet shelf-life in presence of natural preservative agents

Three data sets concerning the behaviour of spoilage flora of fillets treated with natural preservative substances (NPS) were used to construct a new kind of mathematical predictive model. This model, unlike other ones, allows expressing the antibacterial effect of the NPS separately from the prediction of the growth rate. This approach, based on the introduction of a parameter into the predictive primary model, produced a good fitting of observed data and allowed characterising quantitatively the increase of shelf-life of fillets.

Prostatas vēzis ir ceturtais biežāk diagnosticētais vēzis Eiropā, 2018. gadā un tas ir kļuvis par visbiežāk sastopamo vēzi vīriešu vidū. Nozīmīgi klīnisko pētījumu rezultāti prostatas vēža diagnostikā un terapijā ir sasniegti ar radioaktīvi iezīmētu PSMA ligandu 68Ga-PSMA – diagnostikai un 177Lu-PSMA – terapijai. Neiroendokrīnie audzēji ir neviendabīga agresīvu audzēju grupa, kam raksturīgi dažādi un bieži nespecifiski simptomi, kas apgrūtina precīzu audzēja primāro diagnostiku un saslimšanas stadijas precizēšanu. This article seeks to understand how people in the early modern age interpreted the nature of illness and the role that morality played in these interpretations. From this point of view illnesses were not only psycho-physical states or subjects for medical diagnosis but they were also subjects for narratives or stories through which people tried to understand what had caused their illness, and why it was happening to them. Illnesses were understood as strictly connected with the patient's character and were regarded as possible consequences of his personality. Formations of finite monoids and formal languages: Eilenberg’s variety theorem revisited

International audience; We present an extension of Eilenberg's variety theorem, a well-known result connecting algebra to formal languages. We prove that there is a bijective correspondence between formations of finite monoids and certain classes of languages, the formations of languages. Our result permits to treat classes of finite monoids which are not necessarily closed under taking submonoids, contrary to the original theory. Quantization on the Virasoro group

The quantization of the Virasoro group is carried out by means of a previously established group approach to quantization. We explicitly work out the two-cocycles on the Virasoro group as a preliminary step. In our scheme the carrier space for all the Virasoro representations is made out of polarized functions on the group manifold. It is proved that this space does not contain null vector states, even forc≦1, although it is not irreducible. For a set of sorts $S$ and an $S$-sorted signature $\Sigma$ we prove that a profinite $\Sigma$-algebra, i.e., a projective limit of a projective system of finite $\Sigma$-algebras, is a retract of an ultraproduct of finite $\Sigma$-algebras if the family consisting of the finite $\Sigma$-algebras underlying the projective system is with constant support.
