This paper presents adaptable methods for achieving fast collision detection using the GPU and Nvidia CUDA together with Octrees. Earlier related work have focused on serial methods, while this paper presents a parallel solution which shows that there is a great increase in time if the number of operations is large. Two dierent models of the environment and the industrial robot are presented, the rst is Octrees at dierent resolutions, the second is a point cloud representation. Collision Avoidance Trajectory for an Ekranoplan.

The risk of collision is one of the crucial aspects for the applications of Ekranoplans in civil transportation. In fact, the extremely low flight altitude of these aircraft increases dramatically the chances of interference between their flight path and the multitude of obstacles populating the surrounding area. In this work we consider the optimal collision avoidance problem between a cruising Ekranoplan and a steady obstacle located on its flight path. First we solve the optimal control problem imposing that the collision avoidance maneuver lies on the longitudinal plane identified by the initial cruising conditions. Pemphigus is a chronic disease with an outcome that is not without risk. It is characterised by loss of the intraepithelial cell-cell relationship (acantholysis). Underlying the disease is an autoimmune disorder in which the desmosomes are damaged by antibodies directed against particular molecules called desmogleins (particularly 3 and 1). Various types of pemphigus have been described with different antibody profiles and clinical signs. In vitro plant regeneration of caper (Capparis spinosa L.) from floral explants and genetic stability of regenerants

A new technique to regenerate caper plants (Capparis spinosa L. subsp. rupestris) starting from flower explant is reported. In vitro plant regeneration was attempted using stigma, anthers and unfertilized ovules of unopened flowers collected in the field. Plant regeneration was achieved from unfertilized ovules on MS medium supplemented with 88 mM sucrose and 13 lM 6-benzyladenine (BA). New individuals obtained from unfertilized ovules were used as source material for micropropagation and multiple shoots were obtained on MS medium sup- plemented with the adeninic cytokinin BA and the auxin indole-3-butyric acid (IBA).
