Maģistra darba „Latvijas pensiju sistēmas pilnveidošanas iespējas” tēma ir aktuāla, jo, kaut arī Latvijas pensiju sistēma, salīdzinot ar citām pasaules valstīm, ir augstu novērtēta un atzīta par ilgtspējīgu, ar pensiju sistēmu nav apmierināti esošie pensionāri. Latvijā pastāv augsts nabadzības risks, un vidējās pensijas apmērs ir zems. Eiropas valstīs notiek sabiedrības strauja novecošanās, kas atstāj iespaidu uz līdz šim stabilām un ilgtspējīgām pensiju sistēmām, jo strādājošajiem ir jāuztur arvien lielāks pensionāru skaits. TIA ir globāla apdrošināšanas sistēma, kas pārvalda apdrošināšanas procesus no sākuma līdz beigām. Sākotnēji tā tika radīta priekš viena konkrēta uzņēmuma, bet tagad to izmanto plaši pasaulē. Darba mērķis bija izveidot un ieviest mobilo ierīču apdrošināšanas produktu uz TIA kodola versijas. Mobilo ierīču apdrošināšanas produkts tika plānots izveidot kā paraugu, kuru būtu iespējams realizēt nākotnē. Uzdevums bija izveidot produktu tā, ka tam būtu jābūt iespējai izvēlēties no saraksta konkrētu ierīču modeļus vai pievienot jaunus un aprēķināt tām prēmijas, izveidot polises. Redox regulation of genome stability by effects on gene expression, epigenetic pathways and DNA damage/repair

Reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (e.g. H2O2, nitric oxide) confer redox regulation of essential cellular signaling pathways such as cell differentiation, proliferation, migration and apoptosis. In addition, classical regulation of gene expression or activity, including gene transcription to RNA followed by translation to the protein level, by transcription factors (e.g. NF-κB, HIF-1α) and mRNA binding proteins (e.g. GAPDH, HuR) is subject to redox regulation. This review will give an update of recent discoveries in this field, and specifically highlight the impact of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species on DNA repair systems that contribute to genomic stability. Analysis of the variability of Drosophila azteca and D. athabasca populations revealed by randomly amplified polymorphic DNA

The disribution ranges of Drosophila azteca and D. athabasca overlap in northen California and southern Oregon. Seven populations, four of which are located in this area, were studied. Large random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) variation was found within species; nevertheless, more than half the primers used in the study yielded greater diofference between than within species. A nested analysis of molecular variance (AMOVA) showed that the variance between populations within species was significantly greater than zero for 55% of the oligonucleotides used, which provided evidence for an underlying geographical structure of these populations. Twenty-seven new Rhizobium isolates were obtained from root nodules of wild and crop legumes belonging to the genera Vicia, Lathyrus and Pisum from different agroecological areas in central and southern Italy. A polyphasic approach including phenotypic and genotypic techniques was used to study their diversity and their relationships with other biovars and species of rhizobia. Būtisks jautājums, kā samazināt nodokļu slogu maziem uzņēmumiem, kā palielināt nodokļu ieņēmumus valsts budžetā, kā pareizi un taisnīgi piemērot samazinātās nodokļu likmes, atvieglojumus. Tāpēc Latvijā tika ieviests mikrouzņēmums. Mikrouzņēmuma uzdevums ir atvieglot nodokļu slogu maziem uzņēmumiem, atvieglot uzskaiti, ieviest grāmatvedības uzskaites programmas mikrouzņēmumiem. PCR-fingerprinting and RAPD approaches for tracing the source of yeast contamination in a carbonated orange juice production chain.

Aims: To investigate the sort and the origin of the contamination of a packed fruit juice. Methods and Results: Fifty-eight yeast isolates were collected in a survey of two different visits to a carbonated orange juice factory. In each visit, samples were collected, six times, from seven points in the production chain. For each visit, no significant differences were observed among the yeast average values obtained in the control points considered. On the Specificity of PCR Detection of Listeria monocytogenes in Food: a Comparison of Published Primers

A total of nine pairs of primers, seven previously published and two newly developed, have been assayed for PCR detection of Listeria monocytogenes in food. They have been tested for specificity on a total of 72 strains including reference and food isolates belonging to L. monocytogenes and other species in the genus. First of all, a polyphasic approach has been carried out in order to establish a reference strain collection. They were biochemically and genetically characterized by API-Lis and randomly amplified polymorphic DNA PCR (RAPD-PCR), respectively.
