Some new fixed point results in non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces

2013

In this paper, we introduce the notions of fuzzy $(\alpha,\beta,\varphi)$-contractive mapping, fuzzy $\alpha$-$\phi$-$\psi$-contractive mapping and fuzzy $\alpha$-$\beta$-contractive mapping and establish some results of fixed point for this class of mappings in the setting of non-Archimedean fuzzy metric spaces. The results presented in this paper generalize and extend some recent results in fuzzy metric spaces. Also, some examples are given to support the usability of our results.

Positive solutions for singular double phase problems

2021

Abstract We study the existence of positive solutions for a class of double phase Dirichlet equations which have the combined effects of a singular term and of a parametric superlinear term. The differential operator of the equation is the sum of a p-Laplacian and of a weighted q-Laplacian ( q p ) with discontinuous weight. Using the Nehari method, we show that for all small values of the parameter λ > 0 , the equation has at least two positive solutions.

A New Approach to the Generalization of Darbo’s Fixed Point Problem by Using Simulation Functions with Application to Integral Equations

2019

We investigate the existence of fixed points of self-mappings via simulation functions and measure of noncompactness. We use different classes of additional functions to get some general contractive inequalities. As an application of our main conclusions, we survey the existence of a solution for a class of integral equations under some new conditions. An example will be given to support our results.

Relaxation for a Class of Control Systems with Unilateral Constraints

2019

We consider a nonlinear control system involving a maximal monotone map and with a priori feedback. We assume that the control constraint multifunction $U(t,x)$ is nonconvex valued and only lsc in the $x \in \mathbb{R}^{N}$ variable. Using the Q-regularization (in the sense of Cesari) of $U(t,\cdot )$, we introduce a relaxed system. We show that this relaxation process is admissible.

A Multiplicity result for a class of strongly indefinite asymptotically linear second order systems

2010

We prove a multiplicity result for a class of strongly indefinite nonlinear second order asymptotically linear systems with Dirichlet boundary conditions. The key idea for the proof is to bring together the classical shooting method and the Maslov index of the linear Hamiltonian systems associated to the asymptotic limits of the given nonlinearity.

Morphisms of certain banach C*-modules

2000

Morphisms and representations of a class of Banach C*-modules, called CQ*algebras, are considered. Together with a general method for constructing CQ*-algebras, two different ways of extending the GNS-representation are presented.

Spectral Properties of Partial *-Algebras

2010

We continue our study of topological partial *algebras focusing our attention to some basic spectral properties. The special case of partial *-algebras of operators is examined first, in order to find sufficient hints for the study of the abstract case. The outcome consists in the selection of a class of topological partial *-algebras (partial GC*-algebras) that behave well from the spectral point of view and that allow, under certain conditions, a faithful realization as a partial O*-algebra.

Classification and non-existence results for weak solutions to quasilinear elliptic equations with Neumann or Robin boundary conditions

2021

Abstract We classify positive solutions to a class of quasilinear equations with Neumann or Robin boundary conditions in convex domains. Our main tool is an integral formula involving the trace of some relevant quantities for the problem. Under a suitable condition on the nonlinearity, a relevant consequence of our results is that we can extend to weak solutions a celebrated result obtained for stable solutions by Casten and Holland and by Matano.

Existence of viscosity solutions to two-phase problems for fully nonlinear equations with distributed sources

2018

In this paper we construct a viscosity solution of a two-phase free boundary problem for a class of fully nonlinear equation with distributed sources, via an adaptation of the Perron method. Our results extend those in [Caffarelli, 1988], [Wang, 2003] for the homogeneous case, and of [De Silva, Ferrari, Salsa, 2015] for divergence form operators with right hand side.
