Reinforcement learning is one of the most promising machine learning techniques to get intelligent behaviors for embodied agents in simulations. The output of the classic Temporal Difference family of Reinforcement Learning algorithms adopts the form of a value function expressed as a numeric table or a function approximator. Researching Identity and L2 Pragmatics in Digital Stories: A Relational Account.

This study explores college EFL learners' construction of identity through the analysis of their pragmatic choices in digital stories, in which they narrated their relationship with another person they had helped in the past. More specifically, such choices were examined following Relational Dialectics Theory in learners' enactments of "connection" with and "autonomy" from this person. A specific view of identity in language education, the notion of "relational work" in (im)politeness research, and a social semiotic framework were also employed in data analysis. This article describes the progress and findings of a research project, organized in the context of a university Masters course in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL), which aimed at translating the student-teachers' (STs) funds of identity into worthwhile curricular proposals for the English as a Foreign Language (EFL) subject. El presente trabajo muestra la importancia de la Estadística Oficial en la docencia de la Estadística. La Estadística Oficial puede usarse como una herramienta de gran utilidad en el contexto docente, ya que ofrece un elemento motivador para el aprendizaje tanto a nivel universitario como en la enseñanza secundaria. A modo de ejemplo, se detalla una experiencia docente llevada a cabo durante el curso académico 2009/2010 en la que se hace un uso didáctico de la información de tres organismos oficiales: el Instituto Nacional de Estadística, el Instituto Valenciano de Estadística y la Oficina de Estadística del Ayuntamiento de Valencia.

Aquest treball exposa una revisió de la literatura científica centrada en els efectes de l'educació bilingüe en escolars amb trastorns de l'espectre autista (TEA), duta a terme per tal d'explorar els possibles avantatges i desavantatges de proporcionar educació en més d'un idioma per a aquests xiquets amb necessitats especials. Malgrat que desaconsellar l'educació bilingüe és una pràctica bastant comuna entre alguns professionals de l'educació i de la salut, tots els estudis empírics moderns donen suport a la idea que l'educació bilingüe no sols no produeix cap desavantatge específic, sinó que fins i tot facilita l'adquisició futura d'algunes destreses.

Road transport safety is a major concern across Europe due to the human and socio-economic costs associated with work-related traffic accidents.
