MEDIA SKILLS AND PROFESSIONAL AWARENESS IN TEACHER TRAINING

2016

The present paper documents the use of an e-portfolio to promote a process of reflection on the digital skills of in-service teachers. Teachers have been involved for 75 hours in experiencing a training methodology for the promotion of media skills necessary to design paths of media education. The use of the e-portfolio as a means of course assessment was evaluated by the participating group of 91 trainee teachers. The methods of data collection took the form of an analysis carried out thanks to the use of a check list with 22 indicators deduced from the research, of which the frequency was observed. The analysis of the e-portfolios revealed a high trainee teachers’ ability to recognize the…

L’innovazione tecnologica e il Faculty Development.

2023

The pandemic crisis has accelerated the diffusion of learning environments characterized by the intensive use of technology. This novelty represents a transversal objective of the professionalization of the university teacher with a particular declination on the pedagogical-didactic-evaluation side as a strategic issue for the development of higher education. This paper presents the results of research conducted with 119 newly recruited university teachers and 20 Department Directors. The aim of the research was on the one hand to detect the perception of newly hired teachers related to their teaching metacognitive and evaluative skills with reference to distance learning to highlight specific characteristics that could have encouraged or hindered adaptation to this new condition. On the other hand through the qualitative research the aim has been to penetrate in depth the challenges posed by the digital revolution at University by carrying out 20 interviews with privileged witnesses who represent on the national scene agents of institutional change. The results showed a certain awareness of the need to integrate new ways of teaching to increase interest participation and enthusiasm for technology.Settore M-PED/03 - Didattica E Pedagogia Speciale

A Contribution to the Categories of Social Time and the Economy of Time

1977

The article strives to demonstrate the centrality of the category of social time (a) in people's daily lives, (b) as a methodological tool in the study of social process, and (c) as a means towards the planned development and management of advanced societies. Social time has two aspects: rhythm of life and available total time. The article shows that in advanced societies total time and its rational allocation are central in the development of society and individual personality. The nature of social time in less developed societies is also reviewed as well as the historical development of time awareness and the problems of the research on time budget. The article is based on the conception…

CF3: An Electron-Withdrawing Substituent for Aromatic Anion Acceptors? “Side-On” versus “On-Top” Binding of Halides

2016

The ability of multiple CF3 -substituted arenes to act as acceptors for anions is investigated. The results of quantum-chemical calculations show that a high degree of trifluoromethyl substitution at the aromatic ring results in a positive quadrupole moment. However, depending on the polarizability of the anion and on the substitution at the arene, three different modes of interaction, namely Meisenheimer complex, side-on hydrogen bonding, or anion-π interaction, can occur. Experimentally, the side-on as well as a η(2) -type π-complex are observed in the crystal, whereas in solution only side-on binding is found.

Developing Self-Awareness in Robots via Inner Speech

2019

The experience of inner speech is a common one. Such a dialogue accompanies the introspection of mental life and fulfills essential roles in human behavior, such as self-restructuring, self-regulation, and re-focusing on attentional resources. Although the underpinning of inner speech is mostly investigated in psychological and philosophical fields, the research in robotics generally does not address such a form of self-aware behavior. Existing models of inner speech inspire computational tools to provide a robot with this form of self-awareness. Here, the widespread psychological models of inner speech are reviewed, and a cognitive architecture for a robot implementing such a capability is…

Renewable sources and its applications awareness in educational institutions

2019

The topic of the presented research was to analyze the awareness on renewable energy sources among the students of three universities: the Ural Federal University (Russia), the University of Trento (Italy) and Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu (Romania). The survey included 6 basic multiple-choice questions about the main points of the renewable energy topic. Data were collected and analyzed in aid of percentage ratio of right answers among students on each possible answer. The approach adopted in the three universities for the education on topics related to renewable energy is different. This difference explains the different point of view of students on renewable energy.

A roadmap towards improving managed security services from a privacy perspective

2014

Published version of an article in the journal: Ethics and Information Technology. Also available from the publisher at: http://dx.doi.org/10.1007/s10676-014-9348-3 This paper proposes a roadmap for how privacy leakages from outsourced managed security services using intrusion detection systems can be controlled. The paper first analyses the risk of leaking private or confidential information from signature-based intrusion detection systems. It then discusses how the situation can be improved by developing adequate privacy enforcement methods and privacy leakage metrics in order to control and reduce the leakage of private and confidential information over time. Such metrics should allow fo…

Patērētāju lojalitāte pret Eiropā ražotu pārtikas un dzērienu zīmolu produktiem Kazahstānā un tās ietekme uz patērētāju uzvedību.

2019

It is well known that the European produced products are valued around all over the world. Since the tendency of European products procurement are growing rapidly, this research study concentrates on the fact that people from developing countries are differently perceive the purchasing of good produced in Europe. In this reaserch it is more sensible to use the qualitative methods in order to receive comparatively accurate reaction on consumer’s purchasing behavior. In this method of data collecting were participated 90 Kazakstani people, where were in Kazakhstan and Latvia. The number of participants in 90 out of planned 130 has agreed to be more deeply involved in this research work. The n…

Efeitos da Responsabilidade Social Corporativa na lealdade do consumidor com a marca

2019

Purpose – This paper analyses the influence of CSR associations on brand loyalty. We propose a theoretical model that includes the mediating role of brand awareness, brand attitude and customer satisfaction in the effect of CSR on loyalty, measured as a second-order reflective construct. Design/methodology/approach – We propose a theoretical model estimated via the analysis of covariance structures using EQS 6.1. Data were obtained using an online survey of 351 Spanish sportswear consumers. Findings – This study illustrates that CSR associations have a direct, positive influence on loyalty, and an indirect influence through their positive effect on brand awareness and consumer satisfaction.…
