A Novel Approach for Faulty Sensor Detection and Data Correction in Wireless Sensor Network

he main Wireless Sensor Networks purpose is represented by areas of interest monitoring. Even if the Wireless sensor network is properly initialized, errors can occur during its monitoring tasks. The present work describes an approach for detecting faulty sensors in Wireless Sensor Network and for correcting their corrupted data. Cloud top altitude retrieved from Lidar measurements during ACLOUD at 1 second resolution

During the ACLOUD aircraft campaign (23.5.2017 - 26.6.2017) the AMALi Lidar was installed mostly nadir pointing. This dataset contains the cloud top altitude from those measurements (altitudes with a strong signal increase) as well as a cloud mask, derived from the optical depth of the column at 1 second resolution. The majority of the data was collected northwest of the Svalbard archipelago. Neural Petri Control: an application on a mobile robot

In the present work, an innovative nonlinear controller of nonholonomic mechanical systems, characterized by a dynamic not well known model a priori, using a new neural model obtained by the combination of a Petri net with a neural network, is proposed. The performances of the control algorithm are evaluated for tasks of tracking of time trajectories. The study of the stability of the total system to closed loop is based on the Lyapunov theory. Simulation experiments, made taking into consideration a nonholonomic mobile robot, to two wheels, allowed to verify the theoretical results.

The article discusses the theoretical system that supports design themes and processes of recycling large urban road infrastructures, referring to an international research that frames them among the sustainable regeneration processes of the contemporary city, and further evoking the project for the transformation of Palermo's ring road that has been elaborated within this research. A M3G Talking Head for Smartphones

Often customer information services or virtual support guides make use of friendly interface to facilitate human-machine interaction. Indeed, virtual guided tours or helpdesks use a talking anthropomorphic head to communicate with the user. In this paper, we present a talking head for Smart phones, PDAs and, in general, all the mobile devices able to support J2ME and MIDP protocol. The objective of this article is to illustrate how to make such an interface as portable as possible by maximizing the limited computational resources of these devices.
Synthesis of Both Ionic Species of Ammonium Dithiocarbamate Derived Cholic Acid Moieties

The reaction of 3-aminopropylamide of cholic acid with CS2 produced a bile acid derivative of dithiocarbamic acid which further formed an ammonium salt with another molecule of 3-aminopropylamide of cholic acid. The cationic 3-ammonium propylamide of cholic acid did not react further with CS2 and the formed salt was stable in the reaction mixture, even when excess CS2 was used. When the reaction was carried out in the presence of aqueous sodium hydroxide, only the bile acid derivative of sodium dithiocarbamate was formed. The dithiocarbamate derivatives were characterized by 1H- and 13C-NMR spectroscopy and ESI-TOF mass spectrometry.
