On stability and stabilization of singular uncertain Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems

This paper deals with the problem of robust stability and robust stabilization for a class of continuous-time singular Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy systems. Sufficient conditions on stability and stabilization are proposed in terms of strict LMI (Linear Matrix Inequality) for uncertain T-S fuzzy models. In order to reduce the conservatism of results developed using quadratic method, an approach based on non-quadratic Lyapunov functions and S-procedure is proposed. A new closed loop fuzzy motion control system including on-line Kalman's filter (KF) for the two dimensional motion of underactuated and underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) is presented. Since the sway force is unactuated, new continuous and discrete time models are developed using a polar transformation. A new hierarchical control architecture is developed, where the high level fuzzy guidance controller generates the surge speed and the yaw rate needed to achieve the objective of planar motion, while the low level controller gives the thruster surge force and the yaw torque control signals. Design and Low-Cost Implementation of an Optimally Robust Reduced-Order Rotor Flux Observer for Induction Motor Control

The aim of this paper is to design and analyze reduced-order observers of the rotor flux of induction motors. The design is carried out in two steps. In the first step, a boundary of the stability region of the observation error is obtained corresponding to a chosen Lyapunov function. In the second step, the boundary is translated into a performance index that is minimized with respect to stator and rotor resistance variations and differences of voltages supplying the motor and those supplying the observer in order to obtain the largest stability region. Robust H∞ synchronization of a hyper-chaotic system with disturbance input

Abstract This paper concerns the robust control problems on the synchronization of a hyper-chaotic system with disturbance input. Using an appropriate Lyapunov function, we design the multi-dimensional and the single-dimensional robust H ∞ synchronization controllers in terms of linear matrix inequalities for the application in practical engineering. Corresponding theoretical derivations are given subsequently. Finally, some numerical simulations are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed techniques.

By constructing a series of Lyapunov functions, novel H1 robust syn- chronization controllers are designed, whose control regulation possess the characteristic of simpleness and explicitness. Abstract In this paper a novel algorithm with a dynamic fuzzy controller applied to the control of trajectory of vehicles with two independent wheels is proposed. An automatic control of trajectory of a vehicle can behave in a not efficient way. It is necessary to consider the friction of the actuators and possible perturbations coming from the outside environment, as for instance the variable characteristics of the ground where the vehicle moves. Robust control of continuous-time systems with state-dependent uncertainties and its application to electronic circuits

In this paper, the problems of robust stability and stabilization are investigated for a class of continuous-time uncertain systems. The uncertainties in the model are state-dependent and belong to a polytopic convex set, as can be found in many electronic circuits and some other applications. The global asymptotic stability conditions for such systems are first established by the classic common quadratic Lyapunov function approach. In this paper, the robust synchronization control for a class of chaotic systems is studied. Based on linear matrix inequality techniques and Lyapunov stability theory, a novel H∝ robust synchronization controller is designed for the possible application in real engineering.
