Phenotypic and functional heterogeneity are the hallmarks of effector and memory T cells. Upon antigen stimulation, γδ T cells differentiate into two major types of memory T cells: central memory cells, which patrol the blood and secondary lymphoid organs, and effector memory cells, which migrate to peripheral tissues. γδ T cells display in vitro a certain degree of plasticity in their function that is reminiscent of that which is observed in conventional CD4 T cells. The mdm2 oncogene product, MDM2, is an ubiquitin protein ligase that inhibits the transcriptional activity of the tumor suppressor p53 and promotes its degradation. About 50% of all human cancers present mutations or deletions in the TP53 gene. In the remaining half of all human neoplasias that express the wild-type protein, aberrations of p53 regula- tors, such as MDM2, account for p53 inhibition. Synthesis and crystal structure of the low-spin iron(II) complex [Fe(bpym)3](ClO4)2·1/4H2O (bpym=2,2′-bipyrimidine)

Abstract Single crystals of the mononuclear iron(II) complex of formula [Fe(bpym)3](ClO4)2·1/4H2O (bpym=2,2′-bipyrimidine) have been prepared and characterized crystallographically. The complex is monoclinic, P21/c, a=13.688(5), b=19.391(6), c=11.554(5) A, β=102.22(3)°, V=2997(2) A3, Z=4, R=0.063 and Rw=0.068. The structure analysis reveals a distorted octahedral geometry around the iron atom. The average Fe–N bond length and N–Fe–N bidentate angle are 1.970(5) A and 81.0(1)°, respectively. The value of the Fe–N distance and that of the room temperature magnetic moment are in agreement with its singlet 1A1 ground state.

Abstract The title compound, tetrabutylammonium bis(1,2-dimercaptoethene-1,2-dicarbonirtilato-S,S′)-nickel (III) [henceforth (NBu4)Ni(mnt)2] undergoes a hysteretic phase transition that occurs at 172 K upon cooling. Crystallographic studies show that the phase transition is an order–disorder type involving one arm of the NBu 4 + cation. Both phases are monoclinic, space group C2/c with a = 30.860(3), b = 13.804(2), c = 15.678(2) A and β = 115.642(3)° with V = 6020.8(11) A3 at room temperature and with a = 31.073(3), b = 13.928(1), c = 14.414(1) A and β = 115.073(2)° and V = 5652.1(9) A3 at 84 K. A cloned murine T cell line, KIII5, specific for the polypeptide poly-L(Tyr,Glu)-poly-D,L-Ala--poly-L-Lys [(T,G)-A--L] was compared at different stages after antigenic stimulation with respect to the conditions required for the reinduction of growth by varying concentrations of antigen presented on different types of accessory cells (AC). We show that the dose of antigen necessary for inducing half maximal proliferation in the presence of splenic AC shifts to considerably lower concentrations when the T cell blasts revert to a resting state (100 micrograms/ml on day 7 to 10 micrograms/ml on day 21-35). The aftermath of resilience in the global world.

Just as there is an aftermath of trauma, there is reason to think of an aftermath of resilience, different from the resilience capacities developed after a trauma. The aftermath of resilience reflects the ability to activate resilient memory in response to traumatic memory in order to rebuild oneself. This is a major challenge for the global mental health of our fragile societies. The challenge is significant for France, Europe and the world. Beyond the overuse of the word resilience in scientific literature and the media, it contributes to the methodology, epistemology and politics of resilience.
