El objeto de esta tesis es analizar el socialismo político en Valencia -Federación Socialista Valenciana- durante los años treinta del s. XX (Segunda República y Guerra Civil). Este período fue uno de los más convulsos de la historia del socialismo español. En él, hubo dinámicas reformistas y radicales, y duros conflictos internos entre los partidarios de cada uno de estos posicionamientos, materializados desde 1935 en una división interna en dos facciones bien diferenciadas: caballeristas y prietistas. Este trabajo presenta un estudio del estado de conservación de monedas con base de cobre procedente del Museo Nacional de Arqueología Subacuática. La metodología multitécnica incluye instrumentación convencional como microscopía óptica, espectroscopia FTIR y técnicas avanzadas nanoinvasivas como voltamperometría de micropartículas y haz de iones focalizados-FESEM-EDX. Post-transcriptional control of mRNA trafficking and metabolism plays a critical role in the actualization and fine tuning of the genetic program of cells, both in development and in differentiated tissues. Cis-acting signals, responsible for post-transcriptional regulation, reside in the RNA message itself, usually in untranslated regions, 5' or 3' to the coding sequence, and are recognized by trans-acting factors: RNA-binding proteins (RBPs) and/or non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs). ncRNAs bind short mRNA sequences usually present in the 3'-untranslated (3'-UTR) region of their target messages. Molecular Materials from Polyoxometalates

The present article highlights recent results and provide a perspective of the interest of polyoxometalates as inorganic component of molecular materials with active physical properties. Three different aspects will be presented: i) The interest of the magnetic and mixed valence clusters provided by polyoxometalate chemistry in molecular magnetism; ii) The use of these inorganic anions as magnetic component of crystalline conducting materials based on organic donor molecules; iii) The construction of well-organized films of polyoxometalate monolayers by using the Langmuir-Blodgett technique.

MVPACK: a package to calculate energy levels and magnetic properties of high nuclearity mixed valence clusters.

We present a FORTRAN code based on a new powerful and efficient computational approach to solve the double exchange problem for high-nuclearity MV clusters containing arbitrary number of localized spins and itinerant electrons. We also report some examples in order to show the possibilities of the program.

Abstract Envelope protein E2 of human hepatitis C virus (HCV) is an attractive component of a prototype HCV vaccine. Delivered by DNA immunogens, E2 evokes specific immune response of Th1-type, failing to induce either considerable antibody production, or T-helper cell proliferation. Expression and cellular localization of the Nef protein from human immunodeficiency virus-1 in stably transfected B-cells.

Nef protein, encoded by the regulatory nef gene of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1), was expressed in the B-cell line Raji. The cells were stably transfected with plasmids containing the nef transcriptional cassette. They expressed Nef with an Mr of 27,000; the yield could be augmented by incubation with the tumor promoter 12-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-13-acetate. The intracellular localization of Nef was analyzed applying immunofluorescence microscopy using a confocal laser scanning microscope.
