Macrosocial determinants of social integration: Social class and area effect

Theory and research on social support have paid little attention to the existence of important macrosocial variables determining level and content of social relationships. This study examines variations in social integration as a function of social class and residential area characteristics. Results for 234 subjects living in high and low risk neighbourhoods indicated that differences between higher and lower social class groups follow different patterns in different residential areas. Karierę Lipskiego w kancelarii koronnej przyspieszyło przejście na katolicyzm, obranie stanu duchowego i protekcja biskupa-podkanclerzego Piotra Tylickiego, wpływowego stronnika kanclerza Jana Zamoyskiego. Zaprezentowano przegląd piśmiennictwa uwzględniającego podstawową terminologię i wskazującego na bazowe problemy w funkcjonowaniu dzieci dotkniętych zaniedbaniem emocjonalnym. Background: In 1994, the African National Congress identified early childhood development as a potential strategy to redress the inequalities of apartheid, however, two and a half decades later, poverty still persists, and South Africa is one of the most unequal countries in the world. Aim: This article explores how policy texts based on and with the use of certain data practices establish ‘truths’ about childhoods and society, construct families and communities, and determine forms of provision to address inequality.
