Expressing Professional Identity through Blogging - A Case Study of Blogging in the Study of the Subject of Norwegian in Pre-School Teacher Education

Abstract This article shows how blogging was used in a course in Norwegian in pre-school teacher education, and investigates how professional identity was expressed in the blogs. We investigate the students’ use of the affordances of the blog medium, and connect their expressions to the five competencies of pre-school teachers expressed in the Norwegian framework plan for this education (subject, didactic, social, developmental and ethical competence). Connections between professional identity, subject content and uses of ICT are thus drawn up.
Survey of midwives' knowledge of caries prevention in perinatal care.

Purpose To assess midwives' knowledge about oral health and early caries prevention during perinatal care for mothers and babies. Study design and methods A survey developed by the investigators was conducted among midwives to assess their knowledge about caries etiology, their attitude toward their role in early caries prevention, and prophylactic measures recommended during pregnancy, and after birth, for their babies. Self-administered questionnaires were sent to 180 midwives in hospitals and 323 midwives from a midwives' association in Hesse, Germany. Resumen Objetivo principal: Identificar los principales problemas bioéticos suscitados al proporcionar cuidados de enfermería durante la pandemia de Covid-19. Metodología: Revisión de la literatura sobre bioética de las pandemias y de las respuestas propuestas por organismos nacionales e internacionales con competencia sobre cuestiones bioéticas. Se presenta el proceso de diseño y validación de un cuestionario para conocer el nivel de competencia mediática del profesorado universitario. El análisis de validez y fiabilidad se realizó en dos fases distintas para garantizar la consistencia del instrumento: validación por método Delphi y análisis psicométrico, en una muestra piloto internacional de 260 docentes. In this work, the competences in ICT of teachers are studied, in particular the relationship between the technological competences and the pedagogical competences. Acquisition of skills in critical emergency medicine: an experimental study on the SIAARTI Academy CREM experience

BACKGROUND In 2019 the SIAARTI developed a seven-days course for residents, focused on critical emergency medicine (CREM) in a hostile environment, that grounds on simulation-based education and training with hands-on simulation, high-fidelity simulators and part-task trainers. This project aimed to evaluate the efficacy of this course in comparison to traditional learning programs in term of technical (TS) and non-technical (NTS) skills. Teacher competencies in game-based pedagogy

This study examines what kind of competencies teachers need in using game-based pedagogy (GBP). In our conceptual framework, GBP entails four approaches: using educational games or entertainment games, learning by making games, and using gamification in learning. Our data, consisting of teachers’ documentation, thematic interviews and questionnaires, were analysed using qualitative content analysis. Four main competence areas were identified: pedagogical, technological, collaborative and creative.
